Vegas cover girl Michelle Monaghan goes to truck driving school

In advance of tomorrow’s release of the new Vegas magazine -- our sister publication -- I wanted you to meet cover girl Michelle Monaghan. If Michelle is familiar to you, it’s because the actress has already appeared on the big screen opposite heartthrobs Tom Cruise, Patrick Dempsey, Shia LaBeouf and Casey Affleck, while Michelle’s new film Trucker will be released shortly.

Michelle morphed from a girlie girl into a daredevil for her new role in Trucker. The brunette beauty tells Vegas that she had to take on a big rig: “It’s ridiculous. I still look back on this, and I’m like, ‘Who’s that chick that went to truck driving school, got the permit and took it out on California’s 10 and 405 interstates -- who is that girl? I’m proud of my thrill-seeking side, but the crazy thing is I can’t drive a stick shift, but I can drive a 53-foot trailer.”

Iowa native Michelle is married to Pete White, and they have a 10-month-old daughter, Willow. “What about the old wives’ tale that a quiet baby grows into a rebellious teen?” Michelle asked. “If she’s my daughter and my husband’s daughter, that will probably be the truth.’

In the article, Michelle admits that she is a fashion magazine junkie and is never without her red-soled Christian Louboutin shoes. Her credits include TV’s Boston Public and Mission Impossible: III, Gone Baby Gone, Made of Honor, Eagle Eye and The Heartbreak Kid opposite Ben Stiller on the big screen.
