Renowned British DJ Paul Oakenfold celebrates his first anniversary as the resident DJ of Perfecto, the Saturday night party at Rain in the Palms, this Labor Day weekend. DJ Jazzy Jeff will take the late DJ AM’s Friday night spot tomorrow night, with later Friday night gigs by deejays Ruckus, Adam 12 and Homicide until the N9NE Group announces Adam Goldstein’s replacement, which is expected next month.

Don Rickles and Steve Dacri.

*Quite a reunion between fork-tongued comic Don Rickles and hometown magician Steve Dacri at The Orleans. Steve opened for Don during the 1980s, but they haven’t seen each other in more than a decade. My pal Frank Lieberman made the reunion happen, and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was there with his entourage.

*Nine couples will simultaneously marry at Madame Tussauds in The Venetian next Wednesday. That’s 9 on 09-09 for $99 at 9 a.m.! The museum has a $99 wedding special on that day, with the weddings taking place between Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s wax figures as witnesses!

*Pretty as a picture! Actress Kristy Swanson, who will always be the original Buffy Summers in 1992’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, hosted a party at Tabu Ultra Lounge at the MGM Grand. Contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on red carpet duty for Kristy’s arrival. Kristy’s latest work is the animated Fly Me to the Moon released last month.
