Rihanna arrives for a little R&R at Hard Rock Hotel and Wet Republic

Headlines in recent months have been all about the tangled, tumultuous and torn romance between superstar singers Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. It all intensified last week after a judge handed down a sentence of five years’ probation and six months of community labor as a result of the horrifying beating that Chris inflicted on Rihanna in February.

Court documents showed that there had been two previous incidents of violence and fighting between the couple while they were dating. Rihanna has never spoken publicly about Chris’ behavior and the attacks on her.

Rihanna decided that a private and secret Labor Day holiday weekend in Las Vegas was the right prescription for rest and relaxation. The Barbados beauty checked into a luxurious new suite at the Hard Rock Hotel where this photo was taken.

Rihanna is now reportedly dating actor Travis London, who was previously linked with actress Mary-Kate Olsen. There were reports that Travis also was in Vegas, but I have been unable to confirm or source those rumors to date.

We’ll have the full story of her visit when Vegas DeLuxe returns on Tuesday, but meantime, Rihanna hit the pools at Wet Republic in MGM and also was seen playing blackjack in the Hard Rock Hotel.
