Days before it becomes official, I can reliably confirm the long-reported rumors here at Vegas DeLuxe that blonde bombshell Holly Madison has signed a new contract to extend her run in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood.
The former Playboy princess and star of The Girls Next Door becomes the first Peepshow personality to go beyond the planned, 90-day, revolving, celebrity guest appearance formula that BASE Entertainment producers and Peepshow creator, director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell had structured.
Holly’s new contract goes into effect on Sept. 21, when former Danity Kane star singer and dancer Aubrey O’Day joins the cast in the role of Peep Diva originated by Mel “Scary Spice” B and taken over at the end of her debut three-month run by Broadway star Shoshana Bean. Shoshana won raves here for her singing and will go on to Los Angeles to continue her recording career.
“Holly has become the darling of Las Vegas,” I was told by a high-placed source. “She won everybody’s hearts with her tireless work for the show. Holly embraced Las Vegas, and in turn Vegas welcomed her. She gave an incredible boost to ticket sales during the tough summer months, so now the combination of Holly and Aubrey becomes a one-two knockout punch for the fall.

“She never said ‘no’ to anything that promoted the show. Holly met with fans at VIP meet and greets after performances; she made personal appearances; and she worked nonstop with interviews and photo shoots for Peepshow publicity. It made a real difference, and she won tremendous respect for her hard work on behalf of the production. Plus, everybody in the cast and at the hotel truly love her.”
Holly moved into one of the Planet Hollywood star suites while looking for a home here to live in full time, and she plans to shoot the pilot of her new reality TV series here. Over the Labor Day weekend, she celebrated the secret contract renewal with best girlfriend Laura Croft and co-star Josh Strickland at a Studio 54 party she hosted in MGM Grand. Yesterday, Holly entertained Josh and Shoshana at chef Kerry Simon’s restaurant in Palms Place.
I’ve also learned that Holly is traveling, yet again, this week on her day off from Peepshow to film segments for the Hugh Hefner Girls Next Door series on E! Entertainment as a result of rating spikes whenever she appears on the program.
Holly could not comment on the new contract news, saying I would have to wait for any official announcement. But she did say that she’s loving Vegas so much as her new permanent home, she’s planning to ask Mayor Oscar Goodman if she could intern for him over the fall and winter months. “One day way in the future, I might think seriously about becoming the city’s second showbiz lady mayor,” she laughed. (If elected, Holly would follow in the footsteps of Jan Jones.) My slogan would be, ‘Less Traffic, More Fun!’ ”

Incidentally, Holly lost her Mayor Oscar Goodman bobblehead after she threw out the first pitch at the Las Vegas 51s game here last week. An eager fan swiped it as a souvenir! The incident has prompted the bobblehead company to not only provide her with a replacement, but they are also going to make her own line of bobbleheads!
“It will be the start of the campaign,” she laughed. “If the mayor can have one, then the would-be mayor can, too!”
If you can’t get enough of Holly and Laura, check out Vegas DeLuxe reader Richard Corey’s videos of their arrivals at Studio 54 that he posted on YouTube:

Tomorrow, we’ve got all the sexy details of Aubrey O’Day’s arrival in Las Vegas this week now that we are just two weeks away from her premiere. The explosive, erotic blonde beauty is set to make headlines with her wild lifestyle and outrageous views when she gets here -- and I know I will be reporting stories galore during her 90-day residency.
Check out our Vegas DeLuxe postings tomorrow as Aubrey begins rehearsals and watching each night’s shows! We’ll also have an interview with Holly when the news of her Peepshow renewal is made officially over the next week, but now you know it first, fast and always at Vegas DeLuxe!
