The newest supermodel to land in Las Vegas is 2008 Miss Indiana USA beauty Brittany Mason, and the stunning 6-foot blonde already caught the eye of superstar Leonardo DiCaprio when they met at the Bank in the Bellagio. Earlier, Leonardo had hit Tao restaurant and nightclub in The Venetian, but it wasn’t until he met Brittany at the Bank that he decided to stay put instead of crawling the Strip.

Brittany will represent the U.S. in the Miss World Pageant, now in its 60th year as the longest-running major international beauty pageant, this December in Johannesburg and Sun City, South Africa. The last time the Miss World Pageant was won by an American was in 1990 by my friend Alan Thicke’s wife Gina Tolleson, and prior to that, my friend Marjorie Wallace, who was the initial host of Entertainment Tonight when we launched that show back in 1982.

Earlier this year, Brittany made it into the finals of the most recent season of Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model on The CW. The gorgeous knockout, who once dated reigning Miss America Katie Stam’s brother, returned this week from London, where she filmed the Miss World reality series that will precede the beauty pageant.
