It was one very busy day for Miss America 2009 Katie Stam on her trip to Las Vegas yesterday. Katie visited The Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada, read to students at Warren Empowerment School and unpacked donated food for our Three Square food bank for other charities. Katie even remembered to check the expiration dates!
Leading lens lady Denise Truscello was along for all the charity stops and captured this unique photo gallery of one jam-packed day in the life of Miss America.
The Indiana beauty’s Las Vegas charity tour was hosted by Planet Hollywood, where the next Miss America Pageant will be held on Jan. 30. Katie told me that she has already met all 53 contestants and thought of several for my January stories as to whom she thinks might make the Top 10!
Today, she has a meet and greet autograph and photo session with fans and admirers in the Extra Lounge at Planet Hollywood. After meeting with the resort’s staff there, she will spend the afternoon recording promo spots and shooting publicity photos for January’s pageant at the Theatre for the Performing Arts.
