Lovely Katie Stam, who won the Miss America 2009 Pageant at Planet Hollywood last January, has had myriad official duties in the seven months she has been out on the road almost nonstop. Normally, it involves meeting charity workers, helping underprivileged kids, thanking personnel for their service -- and she even had the opportunity to meet President Obama!

Serious stuff, indeed, and in most cases raising charity awareness and funds. But until yesterday, the Indiana girl had never had a hot dog named after her.

Katie’s served up a few hot dogs and eaten many during her reign. This, however, was an honor at world-famous Pink’s Hot Dogs at Planet Hollywood. (Some of you might remember the story of Bruce Willis proposing to Demi Moore at Pink’s Hot Dogs in Hollywood many ketchups, mustards and relishes ago.)

Not only was the hot dog named the Miss America Hot Dog, but Katie got to choose its ingredients. She picked chili and cheese as the secrets to her sauce! Our contributing photographer Denise Truscello was on hand for the ceremony.

I have only one question: Why, if I ate it, is the mustard and ketchup on my shirt in drip marks, but when a Miss America eats it, there is never a spot?!
