It’s a blockbuster weeklong party of Latin American stars celebrating today’s Mexican Independence Day, and it’s topped off this weekend with The Big Fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. -- click HERE for our large photo gallery and coverage this morning.
Last night, Grammy-winning singer Alejandro Fernandez performed at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Nicknamed “El Potrillo,” or the Little Colt, Alejandro has wowed fans with his mainstream Mexican pop music after a long career specializing in more traditional Mexican folk and country music such as mariachi and ranchera.
Our contributing photographer Erik Kabik was at Mandalay Bay for this close-up of the concert. In case you missed it, Erik also captured the award-winning and legendary Luis Miguel in concert at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace over the weekend. And click HERE for our story and photo galleries yesterday of bloodless bullfighting and Ricardo Arjona in concert.
Ole! We wish our South of the Border friends a Happy Mexican Independence Day!
