Strip Scribbles: Fabulous Fantasy feline starts new career

Gorgeous Fantasy singer and show host Stephanie Jordan has just one week left starring in the topless burlesque cabaret revue at the Luxor, and as of next Thursday embarks on a new recording career. After nine years at the helm of Fantasy, she’s taking the big step of forming a band, and her first solo CD Small Town Girl is due for release next month.
Stephanie told me: “I’ve written music for fun in the past, but now it’s time for me to be serious. I will miss all the personalities of the Fantasy dancers, but I’ve talked about this for long enough. It’s now time to actually do what I’ve always said and what everybody has always told me. It’s time for me to be who I am! I’m looking forward to exploring all the showbiz opportunities I’ve been offered.”
Stephanie of Fantasy performs "Lady Marmalade."
The 41-year-old single mom added: “It’s been a glorious run and fabulous experience the past nine years, and I will miss it all, but now I will have time to fulfill a longtime dream that has been in the back of my mind for ages.”

*It’s an extraordinary achievement this weekend for entertainment giant AEG Live. The Las Vegas conglomerate will produce eight shows at four properties in three days! Plus, its parent company hosts the annual, pre-season Frozen Fury XII, the L.A. Kings vs. Colorado Avalanche at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday.
Miley Cyrus.
Here’s the remarkable Royal Robin Rundown: Tomorrow, the headliner is Van Morrison at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel; Saturday, AEG promotes Britney Spears with Jordin Sparks and Kristinia DeBarge at Mandalay Bay Events Center, Cher at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the L.A. Kings and Colorado Avalanche, Miley Cyrus with Metro Station at Thomas & Mack Center and Pet Shop Boys with DJ Morningstar at The Joint; and Sunday in addition to Britney and Cher, AEG has Creed at The Joint. Could it get any busier juggling the organization and planning of this superstar invasion? Incidentally, congrats to Britney, who celebrates her 10th anniversary as a chart-topping pop princess next month!
Katy Perry in a scene from her music video for "Waking Up in Vegas."
*Will Katy Perry’s grandmother here in Las Vegas approve of the singer’s next video? Las Vegas-born Katy had Grandma’s blessings for the “I Kissed a Girl” and “Waking Up in Vegas” videos, with “Vegas” filmed at the Palms. But now she’s performing “Starstruck,” and the scenes in downtown L.A. this week included a romp through a fountain. She was clothed! But the dress started out so short and tight that by the time the cameras finished rolling, it was tighter, shorter and transparent!
*Las Vegans appearing on tonight’s Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak and Vanna White recorded at The Venetian and Palazzo are sales rep Evan Ford and cocktail server Michelle Wershba, whose father and sister were contestants.

Tomorrow’s teases
Anything can happen this weekend because Britney’s back in town with her Circus. Yes, Ms. Spears, who makes headlines wherever she travels, returns for two shows at Mandalay Bay Events Center, and we’ve got an advance look. Plus, it’s Andre Agassi’s Grand Slam fundraising concert for his Academy, and there’s incredible entertainment from Tim McGraw, Daughtry, Dane Cook and Brian McKnight.
