Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach is scheduled to interview former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day and former Playboy star Holly Madison, the beautiful and busty headliners of Peepshow in Planet Hollywood, this weekend. Aubrey had her official premiere in Peepshow last night after a drama-filled week that included unauthorized topless photos from her Monday debut appearing online on Tuesday.
Our leading lens lady Denise Truscello and our contributing photographers Erik Kabik, Scott Harrison and Tom Donoghue were at Peepshow last night to capture images for our photo gallery, so check back to Vegas DeLuxe on Monday for the photos and Robin’s interview. For now, here’s one pic tease from Tom.
A few thoughts about last night’s performance (Full disclosure: I’ve seen Peepshow five times now for work):
*Aubrey’s voice was noticeably weak and shaky in parts, especially during one ballad, but she made up for it with her naughty ad-libs and heaping dose of sass.
Katie Webber as Goldie in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood.
*The two audience members pulled onstage for the pink paint bed scene -- a San Antonio stud and a bodybuilder-type Aussie in shorts -- were the sexiest yet. Aubrey joked that she was going to take Mr. Texas home for herself.
*The Aussie’s friends, a few rows in front of me, were obnoxious in their self-appointed roles as hecklers. Aubrey’s fan club members were even worse, shouting while she was singing and acting. Declasse.
*Holly’s dancing and acting are noticeably more confident. She received the loudest applause when she went topless. And she was topless for a long time in the "Hung Up" finale.
*Bring back Katie Webber as Goldie in the teddy bear scene! She was one of Peepshow’s highlights. My brother agrees, so it must be done! I also miss Holly’s dog. Nick Kenkel is a tan, hunky presence onstage as the Big Bad Wolf, but his sidekick role with Holly makes no sense.

Peepshow's leading man Josh Strickland with Kelly Monaco and Mel B.
*Josh Strickland continues to sing his face off in Peepshow. His “Feelin’ Good” is phenomenal. Finn-tastic, for all my fellow Glee fans.
Meantime, enjoy VDLX reader Richard Corey’s videos posted on YouTube (and check back Monday for those photos and Robin’s interview):

Daily Variety is reporting that Stanley Tucci has been added to the cast of Burlesque, the Steve Antin-directed film starring Cher, Christina Aguilera and Dancing With the Stars pro dancer champion, Las Vegas Academy alumnus and country singer Julianne Hough (if she’s still part of the project and juggling Footloose opposite Chace Crawford).
Burlesque is about a small-town girl (Christina) who starts work in a burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood managed by Stanley. Cher portrays a former dancer who becomes Christina’s mentor, and Julianne will play Christina’s friend.
Steve Antin is the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin and Blow Out star Jonathan Antin. He was the co-developer and executive producer of the PCD reality TV show Girlicious.
