Photo Gallery: Aubrey’s first week of illegal pics, illness, dogs
By Robin Leach
Aubrey O’Day’s debut week in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood was one eventful roller coaster ride. It began when somebody shot illegal photos of her first preview and leaked the topless shots to a controversial Hollywood blogger and the scandalous London tabloids. Both made unwarranted, rude and vile comments about the former Danity Kane singer, and Aubrey wound up spending her first night hiring lawyers after her celebration party at Prive with her grandmother, father and family friends was cut short by the security breach.
Aubrey said she had to get attorneys in London and Los Angeles to get the photos removed and a warning to cease and desist. That international drama forced her to drop out of the second preview night last Tuesday. Then over the weekend, she wound up in the emergency room for “shots from a handsome doctor.”
On Thursday, Aubrey posed for photos on the red carpet and signed autographs for fans, but she bypassed the official party to celebrate the grand gala opening because she was feeling ill and exhausted. However, she didn’t miss any additional performances, living up to the adage “the show must go on.”
Aubrey received a warm welcome from co-star Holly Madison and the sizzling ensemble of sexy Peepshow dancers at the premiere on Thursday. Holly presented Aubrey with a bouquet of roses at the curtain call and then hosted the cast party at the Strip House in Planet Hollywood.

Over the weekend, Aubrey told me: “I'm having so much fun onstage and in Vegas! The cast is so supportive, and Holly brings a great energy onstage! I think my puppy Ginger is sad, though, because she loves playing with Holly’s dog Napoleon, but they both have to be locked up in their respective dressing rooms during the shows. Vegas is great! I’ve already found my favorite tanning parlor, nail salon and sushi spots, so it’s starting to feel like home!” (Click HERE for our exclusive interview with Aubrey when she first arrived in Las Vegas a few weeks ago.)
Yesterday, Holly told me: “It’s been a lot of fun revamping the show and welcoming Aubrey. We had a great first week and a really fun opening night. The show has definitely become different. It changes all the time, and that certainly keeps us on our toes. I’m going to start rehearsing shortly for two new numbers to include, which will give me more dancing time onstage. It’s a continual work in progress, and that’s what keeps it fresh, fun and interesting every night.

“I’m hoping at some point we can include my dog Napoleon in the video opening of the show. Aubrey’s dog Ginger and Napoleon get along so well together. They’re playing with each other all the time.”
Holly, who has just signed a one-year contract renewal with Peepshow, summed up: “Everybody loves the show, the audiences and the cast. We’re all having a blast, and I think it’s got a good, long run ahead here in Vegas. My new reality show starts taping in just two weeks (Oct. 12), and the two-night premiere of The Girls Next Door with Hef and the girls visiting Peepshow airs on Oct. 12, so our cabaret will be everywhere you look.”
