Donny is safe, but what about Chuck and Kelly on DWTS?

Once again, it was right down to the wire for two of our Las Vegas favorites on tonight’s Dancing With the Stars results show. We don’t have to worry about Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond because he was declared safe with the other two frontrunners, Aaron Carter and Mya, very early this evening on ABC’s live satellite feed from Hollywood back to the East Coast.
SPOILER ALERT: Please do not read any further if you want to get the full surprise and drama of watching the West Coast tape-delayed broadcast of ABC’s top-rated Dancing With the Stars. But come back after the show to compare notes with us!
Mya and Dmitry Chaplin were asked by the judges to repeat their top-scoring dance from last night. Our Chuck Liddell and Kelly Osbourne were bunched into a large group of dancers all tied with 19 points. The minutes ticked on as Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo were declared safe, along with Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer, who danced through a painful hip injury.
Donny said: “Waiting for the results to be announced is a bigger stress than the actual dancing the night before.” He races back on a private jet in time to make it to the Flamingo for his show with sister Marie Osmond in less than two hours! He says pro partner Kym Johnson and he are accidentally inflicting injuries on each other from their first two outings! We’ll have that story later this week here at Vegas DeLuxe.
Most of the hourlong broadcast was spent featuring Joss Stone singing her single “Free Me” from her new album Colour Me Free and her interpretation of Dusty Springfield’s classic “Son of a Preacher Man.” Also performing on the show was Disney star Selena Gomez and her band The Scene. She sang “Fallin’ Down,” the single released today (how’s that for cross-promotion?!) from her album Kiss & Tell dropping in November.

With minutes to go, host Tom Bergeron announced that Kelly and Chuck will return next week, so Las Vegas continues to be well represented. Viewers were kept in suspense over their fate, but in the end, they were told to come back next week.
The big surprise, though, was that former House Majority Leader and most ridiculed dancer to date Tom DeLay was told to keep on dancing, so he’ll rehearse for another week with Cheryl Burke and be back on Monday to face more ferocious complaints about his lack of dancing skills. So he’ll be around for next week’s execution!
Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya on Dancing With the Stars.
As the show ended, three couples -- Debi Mazur and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower and Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani -- faced the order to pack your bags. But exactly as we predicted here earlier, the guillotine fell on 46-year-old former supermodel Kathy and pro partner Tony. She said: “I wouldn’t change a moment of it. The fact that I got to dance with a world champion has been so much fun. I enjoyed the entire experience.”
Also voted safe: Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough, Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas and Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova.

We’ll be back next Monday and Tuesday with our coverage of Week 3 of Season 9 and keeping vigilant watch on Donny, Chuck and Kelly!
