Elegant. Classy. Sexy. Intimate. Erotic. Mix together those five words, and you get burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese and her pitch-perfect performance in Crazy Horse Paris at MGM Grand last night.

Before the gorgeous and intimate production commenced, photographers Erik Kabik and Scott Harrison were on red carpet duty, where Von Teese was ravishing in red. Photographer Denise Truscello shot these beautiful photographs of Von Teese in action during Crazy Horse Paris, and videographer Richard Corey posted his recording of Von Teese on the red carpet to YouTube.

Crazy Horse Paris, in which all of the stunning dancers are featured topless during the 80-minute show, is divided into the segments of “Attitude,” “Chair Me Up,” “Lazy,” a synchronized dance sequence by the self-described weird Scott Bros., “Champagne Taste,” “Baby Buns,” “Teese-ing,” “Beauty Boudoir,” “But I’m a Good Girl,” “Adagio,” “La Lesson D’Erotique,” “The Quiddlers Present Micro Jackson” (an interesting homage to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson described as “a short tribute”), “Le Bain Noir,” “Hot Legs,” “Chain Gang,” “Etoiles de Paris” and the Crazy Horse Paris finale.

Von Teese is featured in the three segments “Lazy,” “Teese-ing” (in which she goes topless while smoking a cigarette) and “Le Bain Noir,” in which she punctuates with a flirty wink at the end. Von Teese is the star attraction here, and the crowd loved her and all of the dancers. Crazy Horse Paris is captivating from start to finish, from the charming music (Von Teese’s singing voice is heard for the first time in a show) to the “Baby Buns” that are most certainly hot buns to the high front kicks and high rear kicks. It’s definitely about stamina here and not instant gratification.

If you can’t get enough of Von Teese -- and who can, really? -- check out Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach’s interview with Von Teese posted yesterday, when she reveals her strip burlesque aspirations and what she considers to be true burlesque.

Peepshow stars Holly Madison and Josh Strickland were at a table with Holly’s World co-star and Playboy Playmate Laura Croft during the performance, and I snapped this photo of them after the show.
