Cirque du Soleil and Nevada Ballet Theater are presenting the 2010 A Choreographers’ Showcase, “a project designed to stimulate and encourage artistic growth,” at Treasure Island in Mystere Theater, home of the oldest of the seven Cirque du Soleil productions on The Strip.

Performances of A Choreographers’ Showcase are tomorrow at 1 p.m. and April 25 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $40. Photographer Denise Truscello captured these beautiful images for our photo gallery and said: “It’s truly an amazing show.”

The collaboration between Cirque and NBT is in its third year and will include 11 originally choreographed works by artists from Cirque’s shows, as well as professional dancers from NBT. The $40 premium ticket purchase includes preferred seating when available and helps provide a special matinee performance for Clark County students.

The school-time matinee is April 23 for schools from NBT’s Future Dance program, as well as students from the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (part of the NBT-Agassi Partnership for Dance) and other public, private and parochial schools.
