Strip Scribbles: Shanna Moakler celebrates 35th birthday at the Palms

Actress and model Shanna Moakler celebrated her 35th birthday Saturday night with dinner at N9NE Steakhouse with five friends. Shanna, the on-and-off significant other of drummer Travis Barker, wore a snake-print dress with black boots and sipped on ginger ale, and our contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on duty for our Vegas DeLuxe photo gallery.

After dinner, Shanna and nine friends partied at a VIP table at Moon, where she enjoyed vodka cocktails and mingled with fans. She was presented with a birthday cake about 1 a.m. Before heading up to Moon, Shanna received a coveted key from The Playboy Club. Earlier in the afternoon, Shanna soaked up the sun in a cabana at Palms Pool & Bungalows.

Everywhere Shanna went during her birthday weekend, celebrities were part of the scene. Chuy Bravo of Chelsea Lately was at the Palms pool partying with five friends. R&B artist and producer Ray J was at N9NE Steakhouse with 17 friends; writer, producer and on-air correspondent Brad Wollack dined in a party of six; and NFL legend Warren Moon stopped in to say hello to executive chef Barry Dakake and sign the famous kitchen door.

Upstairs in Nove Italiano, actor Victor Rasuk dined with The N9NE Group’s Bronson Olimpieri and Mike Diamond, and executive chef Geno Bernardo sent out the cannoli and strawberry brulee for dessert. After dinner, Victor and three friends partied at Moon. Victor and Bronson also had drinks at N9NE Steakhouse. C.J. Watson of the Golden State Warriors partied at a VIP table at Moon with seven friends.

*A week after Cher, a surprise presenter at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena, resumed her show at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace, star flocked to the spectacular. Country singer and two-time Dancing With the Stars pro champion Julianne Hough, actress Kristen Bell and Pussycat Dolls founder and choreographer Robin Antin attended the show, and all three went backstage meet the superstar Cher. (Julianne and Kristen also were presenters at the ACMs.) Comedian Kevin James also watched the show.

STAR SURVEILLANCE

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman, in town for country singer Kenny Chesney’s film premiere Summer in 3D, which Morgan narrated, dined at chef Shawn Armstrong’s Mozen Bistro in Mandarin Oriental. … Actor Matthew Perry watched Le Reve at the Wynn, as did singer and Motown legend Smokey Robinson. … Playboy Playmate Laura Croft attended Matt Goss’ show at Caesars Palace and was signing along all night in her front-row seat. Matt and Laura are rumored to be dating. … Tennis star Andy Roddick was spotted in the new Paradise Tower at the Hard Rock Hotel. … Vanessa Simmons, the daughter of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, stayed at Palms Place over the weekend.

*Country singer and longtime ACM Awards host Reba McEntire dined in a large group of family and friends at Tao in The Venetian on Friday night. Up in the nightclub, Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott arrived with a group that included rumored boyfriend Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Poker pro Beth Shak was spotted with friends enjoying the sounds of DJ Reach. … Chuy dined at Lavo in the Palazzo with other comedians from the show, and country singer Gary Allan partied upstairs at a VIP table on the dance floor.

*The NFL was out in full force at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel. Aaron and Hillary celebrated his brother Luke’s birthday, and Aaron made his way around the booths shaking hands with fans and friends, including Shawne Merriman, Jamaal Davis, David Barker and Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers. Nate Washington of the Tennessee Titans and Stanley Robinson of the University of Connecticut also partied with friends in a VIP area at Vanity.

*Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner of The Hurt Locker partied in a VIP booth with friends at XS in the Encore on Friday. 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole, Brody Jenner’s ex, also was at XS. … Playboy Playmate Athena Lundberg played hostess Friday night at Tryst in the Wynn, where the 2006 Miss January also celebrated her birthday.

It’s the official opening of the topless Bare Pool Lounge in The Mirage, a long day and night affair with DJ Donald Glaude. Plus, the Brooks & Dunn CBS special The Last Rodeo is taped at MGM Grand Garden Arena for broadcast May 23, and filming of On the Shoulders of Giants with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Jerry Reinsdorf and Marques Haynes is underway at Lagasse’s Stadium in the Palazzo.
