TV viewers and judges are now in agreement that the battle for the prized disco ball trophy will probably come down to Pussycat Dolls beauty Nicole Scherzinger, with Las Vegas’ Derek Hough, and Olympic gold hero Evan Lysacek with Anna Trebunskaya. Our other favorite, former Planet Hollywood headliner Pamela Anderson, however, landed in the bottom four and then in the bottom two.
SPOILER ALERT: Please do not read any further if you want to watch the West Coast tape-delayed broadcast of Dancing With the Stars without anything revealed. Consider this my one and only friendly warning! But come back after the show to see if you agree with my observations.
It was a night of Maxwell performing “Fistful of Tears” and the dance pros showing the celebrities exactly how to dance routines to movie music.
Right down to the wire, it was Pamela , The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka with Las Vegas’ Chelsie Hightower, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocino with Cheryl Burke -- and of course reality TV star Kate Gosselin, with Tony Dovolani, put on the firing line. Kate had radio and TV host Adam Carolla rooting for her, though, and had the audacity to declare her dance last night “his favorite!”
In addition to the leaders, ESPN host Erin Andrews and our Le Reve choreographer Maksim Chmerkovskiy were safe, along with comedienne and actress Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel.
But at the very end with all the drama came the final decision, a shocking surprise that forced the decision between Pamela and Kate. Finally, Pamela is declared safe, and after weeks of agony, Kate packs up her dancing shoes and returns to the farm -- or her book tour and new reality TV series.

She managed to hold back tears and tell Tom Bergeron and judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli that she was very honored to have danced on the show.
We’ll be back tomorrow with the dance-floor photo coverage and our pick for the now sensational seven who next week will be reduced to a superb six! It'll be interesting to hear the post-show interview with Pamela as to how nerve-wracking the ordeal was in the final seconds -- her second time in the bottom two!
