For the first time since she was crowned 2010 Miss America in the Theater for Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood in January, Caressa Cameron of Fredericksburg, Va., is returning to Las Vegas. Caressa has been selected as one of the stars attending the 30th anniversary celebrations of the International Licensing Expo from June 8 through 10 that attracts visitors from across the globe.

Caressa will pose for photos, sign autographs and meet with convention delegates in a special Miss America booth.

“We are thrilled to showcase one of the most beloved brands in the world, Miss America, at the expo this year and give fans a chance to interact with Caressa,” said Sam Haskell, III, chairman of the Miss America Organization. “Since 1921, Miss America has been a household name, and as we look ahead to prepare for our 90th anniversary, we are continuing to grow our brand at this incredible expo.”

I will join Caressa for lunch while she’s here and report on the first 150 days of her reign -- time flies! I’ve also learned that Miss America will shortly be announcing a line of girl’s bedroom furniture as part of its continuing licensing activity.
