Triumph, a new spectacular show, is set for this fall at the Las Vegas Hilton, taking over the showroom that’s been used sporadically since Barry Manilow’s departure for the Paris this year on the Strip.
Details of Triumph are shrouded in secrecy, but I have been able to confirm that there will be more than 90 days of load-in of sets, scenery and rehearsals. Dates for ticket sales, the start of rehearsals and a gala opening are still wrapped in more mystery.
I do know though that the show itself has been planned for several years for an eventual Las Vegas-only launch, and that Triumph is a multimillion-dollar extravaganza. I’m privy to a lot more information but am sworn to secrecy until the stars arrive here and reveal the concept and storyline in late May.
This weekend sees the start of the Hilton’s Triumph teaser campaign as posters and billboards begin to pop up all over town. I also can tell you that the first TV commercials for the show have been produced.
“It is one of the most powerful and extraordinary shows ever conceived for Las Vegas,” I was told. “ The news comes the same week as Cirque du Soleil announced its Michael Jackson shows, and this is equally as exciting and ambitious.”
