Oh, what a night! Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, celebrated two successful years on the Strip with a platinum record commemoration last night at the Palazzo.
A stage show of live music and dramatic storytelling, Jersey Boys is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest U.S. pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide, all before they were 30. Jersey Boys features huge hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” “Oh, What a Night” and many more.
Frankie and singer-songwriter Bob Gaudio from the original group celebrated at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT Steakhouse and gathered with their stage counterparts last night before attending the early show and then going onstage for the celebration. Frankie, who was with his son Frankie Valli Jr. after flying in from a concert with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, told me that seeing the story is still an emotional experience for him “because we told the harsh, real truth.” He added: “I always tear up when I watch it.”
Bob told me that the show currently has five productions, from Broadway to Las Vegas, and that the London production is a monster hit.
“We’re planning new productions in Germany, Holland and Asia next year. The songs would be sung in English, but the drama will be in the native language. We’re also putting on a new touring company across America next year.”

Our full and candid interview with Frankie and Bob will run next week here at VegasDeLuxe.com, but we wanted to share these great images from contributing photographer Erik Kabik as fast as we could.
