Singer Courtney Love celebrated the release of her band Hole’s new album Nobody’s Daughter at Tao in The Venetian on Saturday night, and our contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on red carpet duty to cover her arrival. Courtney threw a hissy fit when one of the reporters asked her to clear up her future last name because of all the reports stating that she was changing it.

She said it was staying Love and then stormed off without giving further planned interviews. The always-interesting singer wore a Balenciaga dress and headed up to the moat skybox overlooking the nightclub. Courtney, who stuck with Pellegrino, was presented with a cake and just after 1 a.m. went onstage for a performance.

After asking the partygoers if anyone remembered MTV Unplugged, she sang “Pacific Coast Highway” and “Someone Else’s Bed,” accompanied by Miko Larkin, a band member who played guitar. Watching the performance from a VIP table was actor Chazz Palminteri, who opens his one-man play A Bronx Tale at The Venetian on Wednesday.

Photographer Denise Truscello snapped the photographs inside Tao, and Vegas DeLuxe reader Richard Corey posted his videos of her arrival at Tao on YouTube.
