Photos: Kardashians dish about Season 5 and Kim’s single status

Fans of Kim Kardashian who have closely followed her romance gone wrong with Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints will now get a glimpse of her new single life when Season 5 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians starts filming in May. Kim and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe all told me that viewers can expect everything to be different from the previous four seasons.

The sensational sisters chatted with me candidly before Kim and Khloe celebrated Kourtney’s 31st birthday Saturday with a Bombay Sapphire party at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic -- we also posted a story and photo gallery yesterday. The trio of temptresses partied in an ultra-exclusive Bombay Sapphire bungalow, and there were even a Bombay Sapphire blue cake and Bombay Sapphire Raspberry Collins cocktails to accompany the music of DJ Hollywood.

Kim told me: “Every new season, we sit and think about the direction of the new series of shows. We’ve just started that process. Last season ended with Kourtney about to have the baby and Khloe about to get married. This time around, I’m totally the single girl, so we will go deeper into my new life.

“Robin, all I’m going to say about Reggie Bush for now is that we’re remaining great friends. We’re taking some time off. Let’s just say I’m enjoying single life, but I can’t say it’s over. I’m not going to address any of the stories about Cristiano Ronaldo, and I’m certainly not going to talk about the recent tabloid headlines concerning revelations from my first long-ago divorce. You got Reggie, but I’m not talking about the other. Strictly no comment! You have to wait to get those answers so we can keep some surprises for the TV show. All I will say is that soccer players are hot.

“We’ll focus on a lot of me living the single life. It will be fun to watch, and although I think some personal relationship details have to remain off-limits, but depending on the mood I’m in, there’ll be highlights.”

Kim, wearing a sexy black romper, said that she’d been in Australia promoting a new Motorola phone service before flying into Las Vegas, so hadn’t had time yet to buy a birthday gift for her big sister. She then talked about her family with me: “There is a magic with us. We are so tight. We have always been really close. Our mother and father always raised us to know blood is thicker than water. We are each other’s best friends. It’s always been that way. We have always done everything together, and we always will be together. We go through every experience together, and doing that makes us closer and closer. We all love that special bond.”

The birthday girl herself said: “My sisters are the best aunts ever. The whole family gives him so much love. We’ve already planned when my mom and I go out of town for the first time, he will get his first overnight sleepover with Khloe. I didn’t know one thing about being a mom. I certainly didn’t know how to change a diaper, but it’s all come totally naturally. The baby is amazing, and being a mom does truly come with all those cliches they say.

“I might be 31, but I don’t feel as old as I am. I feel young, and it’s all about the attitude you have. Being a mom completely changed my life. I still think it’s crazy I’ve become a mother. I was a wild child before. I had my wild moments. I was a fun party girl in college, but as you grow up, in general you become more responsible and with working come those responsibilities. I’m now living my life that way.”

Kourtney, who wore a mocha dress over a zebra-print swimsuit from their Beach Bunny Bikini Collection, told me that Khloe had given her a Balenciaga handbag . “I picked it out myself, though, and called her to say she had to pay for it. It was a little cheeky, but she loved the fact I’d found the thing I really wanted, so she was happy. We do that all the time with each other when we forget presents. She called in her credit card and was happy knowing she’d bought me exactly what I wanted.”

She reveled in her birthday party action, telling me: “These Vegas pool parties are totally insanity -- crazier than a nightclub, but in the middle of the day. Being a new mom, there’s not an inch of me that feels like being in a nightclub, so being by the pool with my sisters and friends is the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. These pool parties are fun and amazing and make for a perfect birthday blast.”

She was joined by gal pals Brittny Gastineau, Lauren London and Malika Haqq for the party, where Khloe snapped photos of her sisters and friends in front of the larger-than-life, three-tired teal and cream birthday cake that featured real bottles of Bombay Sapphire topped by golden flames.

Kourtney celebrated her actual birthday a few days earlier with baby son Mason, and then when grandparents Kris and Bruce Jenner looked after Mason, Mason’s father Scott Disick surprised her with a relaxation getaway to Santa Barbara, Calif., complete with spa massages and romantic candlelit dinners.

I also chatted with Khloe about her new husband, Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers, and baby nephew. “He’s the best baby ever and never cries. I have the best husband, and of course he’s in the playoffs right now. My life is amazing, and I’m having the best time, and there’s something new about it every day. A lot of people said it wouldn’t work and that it would just be a 15-minute wonder. But it is working beautifully because we genuinely love each other. You can’t predict love, so we’re proving what they said was all wrong.”

Khloe, in a caramel and midnight striped floor-length summer dress, said of the new season: “We’ve now got a married mom, a single mom and a no mom. I like it that way. Kim remains the third one to be married off. But I pray she’s single for a little bit. She’s always with a boyfriend, and I think it would be good for her to stay single. That will become part of the new season. I’m now married, Kourtney has a new baby, and Kim is single. Hopefully, she’ll be dating, and I don’t want her to get married in a hurry, so in a nutshell, that’s really Keeping Up With the Kardashians. It’s a different dynamic for all three of us.”

Kourtney and Khloe’s Miami fashion boutique show resumes airing in June. Khloe told me that the store and their fashion lines are doing incredibly well, so I had to ask was there any end in sight to the Kardashian business empire.

“Are you crazy? We’re a dynasty, “ she laughed -- and with that, the party got underway!
