The boys from Beantown were Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock in their tour stop at MGM Grand Garden Arena, American Idol’s most flamboyant runner-up (no, not Clay Aiken) performed to a sold-out crowd at Mandalay Bay Beach, and L.C. managed to party without her BFFs from Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills.
AEROSMITH & SAMMY HAGAR AT MGM GRAND
The “Bad Boys From Boston” -- Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and crew -- have been together longer than this journalist has been walking the earth, and they’re dreaming on and making love in an elevator as strong as ever, performing to a sold-out audience with tequila-lovin’ and -peddlin’ Sammy Hagar at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.
Lest one think the legends of rock are too old to party, Hagar performed a pre-concert concert at his Cabo Wabo Cantina at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops on Friday, while Tyler, whose lips could still overtake the world at any moment, hosted a post-concert party with girlfriend Erin Brady up the way from the concert at Studio 54. No reports of daughter Liv Tyler have surfaced.

ADAM LAMBERT AT MANDALAY BAY BEACH
While the rematch of 2009’s Fight of the Year was underway at Mandalay Bay Events Center, American Idol Season 8 alumnus Adam Lambert glammed it up for a sold-out crowd at Mandalay Bay Beach with Australian singer and guitarist Orianthi on Saturday night.
Contributing photographer Erik Kabik reported that the enthusiastic crowd filled the pool in front of the stage and the beach, many of the boys and girls dressed in Goth clothing, hair and eyeliner inspired by San Diego’s Lambert, who is identified as the first openly gay mainstream pop
artist to start a career on a major U.S. label. His For Your Entertainment, released in November, has been certified gold and includes the Top 10 single “Whataya Want From Me.” It’s a “Mad World,” indeed.

Trace Adkins performs at The Pearl in the Palms.
Country superstars Toby Keith and Trace Adkins rocked a packed The Pearl in the Palms on Saturday night. The concert included a videomontage of Keith’s work, charity efforts and a nod to the troops, and the video ended with the stage opening and Keith arriving in the back of a Ford pickup, where he stayed to sing his opener. Ford is the tour’s sponsor.
LAUREN CONRAD AT TAO BEACH
Reality TV star, fashion designer and author Lauren Conrad hosted at Tao Beach in The Venetian on Saturday as sponsor Hpnotiq took over the pool with a candy-themed party in honor of L.C.’s tome L.A. Candy. Conrad and her friends relaxed in the grand cabana and enjoyed cocktails and food from Tao.
L.C. talking about her upcoming fashion and book projects and posed for photographs with fans, while models tossed lollipops and candy bracelets to the crowd as the daytime revelers imbibed Hpnotiq’s specialty cocktails Roq Candy Martini and L.A. Candy.
Actor Ryan Phillippe was spotted at Tao Beach toasting his girlfriend Alexis Knapp’s birthday.
CHRIS HARRISON AT BLUSH, EBC AND SURRENDER
The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison kicked off his birthday celebration with his wife Gwen at Blush in the Wynn on Friday night, arriving with a group of 12 shortly before midnight after dinner at SW Steakhouse. Harrison, newly 39, posed for pictures and handed out roses to female fans as Mrs. Harrison partied right beside him at their VIP table. The group enjoyed Grey Goose cocktails.
The celebration continued Saturday at Encore Beach Club and Surrender at Encore. The day began with a cabana at EBC, followed by dinner in a party of eight at Society Cafe and a VIP table and Belvedere cocktails -- good to know Mr. Harrison mixes up his vodkas -- at Surrender. Harrison was presented with a Garden of Eden-themed caked just before midnight.

Actress Jenny McCarthy starting her Las Vegas weekend watching Blue Man Group at The Venetian with her son and other family members Friday night. They went backstage after the show, where one of The Blue Men gave her a “blue” smooch on the cheek.
Fantasy star and stunning redhead Angelica Bridges of Baywatch, Playboy and Strawberry Blonde fame performed her final show, for the time being, after a “bomb scare” at the Luxor on Saturday night. Bridges was delightful and sweet in a post-performance interview, and I finally met the fabulous Alicia Jacobs before the topless burlesque that featured on-fire comedian and performer Sean E. Cooper, along with the sexy and talented dancers.
CHRIS YOUNG TURNS 21
Rapper Chris Young celebrated his 21st birthday at Tao Worship Thursday with friends including Shwayze (Young’s cousin), Cisco Adler, DJ Jason Smith, DJ Skinnie and Simon Rex, aka Dirt Nasty. After dining at The Venetian hotspot, the boys headed upstairs to a dance floor table and fueled on Grey Goose cocktails, Coronas and Patron. After being presenting with a cake by his buddies onstage, the rapper performed “Get Romantic,” and then Cisco and Shwayze joined in with “Buzzin.’ ”
The 21st birthday celebration continued at Tao Beach on Friday, as the group took in the scene from the grand cabana overlooking the pool and kept cool with pitchers of mojitos, with Young and Dirt Nasty performing. Captain Morgan and the Morganettes arrived later in the afternoon and passed out Captain Morgan Beach Bum shots to the party people.
Lennox Lewis hosts an evening at Lavo in the Palazzo on July 31, 2010.
After Juan Manuel Marquez soundly defeated Juan Diaz at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday night, as detailed in the live blog by Las Vegas Sun colleague Brett Okamoto, boxing legend Lennox Lewis hosted a post-bout party at Lavo. The former undisputed world heavyweight champion was joined by a group of 20 friends for dinner before hitting the upstairs boutique nightclub.
Earlier in the evening, Amy Davidson of ABC’s 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter treated her mother to a birthday dinner at Lavo. Over at Tao, former ’N Sync singer Lance Bass dined with friends, including rumored boyfriend Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Kyan Douglas, before heading upstairs to the nightclub and enjoying Perrier Jouet and Ketel One cocktails.
Phillippe, Knapp and their group continued her weekend birthday celebration at a VIP table, where she was presented with a cake. Phillippe stopped by the DJ booth to say hello to DJ Vice later in the night.

AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL
Willie McGinest of the Cleveland Browns partied in a stage VIP booth Friday night at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel. McGinest arrived with friends, made his way to the DJ booth and was spotted taking a picture with resident DJ Eric D-Lux. The linebacker hung out with his entourage until 3 a.m.
Former WBA welterweight super champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley also spent his Friday night in The Entertainment Capital of the World at Vanity. Mosley sat in owner Jason Giambi’s booth.
As always, a big thank you to contributing photographers Tom Donoghue, Scott Harrison and Kabik for their stellar work and to Richard Corey for his YouTube videos.
