Another wet hot American summer weekend, another Twilight star hosting a party in Las Vegas. What would the world do without Stephenie Meyer’s vampires and werewolves?

Friday, Aug. 6

Resident headliner and country superstar Garth Brooks returns to Encore Theater in the Wynn through Sunday, while comedian Andrew Dice Clay is back at the Las Vegas Hilton through Sunday. Tickets for Brooks’ concert are difficult to come by, but he is not to be missed. Night Ranger, crooners of the classic “Sister Christian,” hold service at Sunset Station; the Dropkick Murphys, with guests Adolescents and Larry and His Flask, kick back a few (songs) at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel; and Montell Jordan will show the crowd how he does it at the Hard Rock Cafe on The Strip. Comedian and talk show host Jay Leno is at The Mirage through tomorrow.

Saturday, Aug. 7

The Twilight series’ Alice Cullen -- yes, the vampire who can see into the future and whose real name is Ashley Greene, hosts at Wet Republic at MGM Grand. Her big-screen brother Kellan Lutz and his girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord hosted in the same spot July 17.

The History Channel's Pawn Stars stars Richard, Rick and Corey Harrison, plus cohort Chumlee, will be on hand for the Gold and Silver Road Show at Suncoast. High Society star and socialite Tinsley Mortimer celebrates her birthday with two parties -- Tao Beach in The Venetian during the day and Lavo in the Palazzo in the evening, while E! Entertainment correspondent Catt Sadler’s birthday celebration is at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel.

R&B singer Amerie has “One Thing” to perform at Pure in Caesars Palace. Blondie will avoid shattering the “Heart of Glass” with The B-52’s, who’ll rock the party in the “Love Shack,” at Mandalay Bay Beach for Concerts on the Beach. Country singer Pat Green is at Red Rock Resort, Wynter Gordon will be all about “Dirty Talk” at Blush in the Wynn, and The O’Jays are at Star of the Desert Arena in Primm.

Sunday, Aug. 8

Chicago rap artist Kid Sister will be working on her “Pro Nails” at Tao Beach.

Next week

The Expendables super-stud stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Randy Couture, among others, are in town Wednesday for the red carpet premiere of the actioner at Planet Hollywood; singer Shaggy is at the Palms Pool & Bungalows as part of the Cruzan Campfire Concert Series on Thursday; comedian Bill Engvall is at Treasure Island on Aug. 13; and Matchbox Twenty hottie frontman Rob Thomas is at Red Rock Resort in a benefit performance for Sidewalk Angels Foundation.
