Paris Hilton’s biggest music hit to date is the catchy and likable “Stars Are Blind,” and one would have to be visually or physically impaired -- you know, inebriated -- to have missed the stars partying and hosting celebrations in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The single socialite, singer, actress and entrepreneur was beautified by her longtime stylist Michael Boychuck, who owns Colors in Caesars Palace, Amp in the Palms and Drift Spa in Palms Place, before hitting the town Friday night, as Vegas DeLuxe reported Saturday, at XS in the Encore and Tryst in the Wynn. Hilton’s boyfriend Cy Waits is a managing partner at both nightspots (his twin brother Jesse Waits is reportedly linked to Jayde Nicole, Brody Jenner’s ex).

Montell Jordan at Tryst in the Wynn on Aug. 6, 2010.
Singer Montell Jordan showed the revelers at Tryst “This Is How We Do It,” while recently retired CNN legend Larry King and his on-again, off-again, on-again wife Shawn Southwick King watched Jersey Boys at the Palazzo on Friday night. Kudos to the four Jersey Boys, who make a cameo in the weekend’s No. 1 film at the box office, The Other Guys starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell -- scenes in the comedy were shot here.

Judge Alex Ferrer, host of Judge Alex, was spotted at Tao Beach in The Venetian on Friday, as was Kelly Bensimon of The Real Housewives of New York, who was back for the third consecutive day. Socialite and High Society star Tinsley Mortimer, in town to celebrate her 34th birthday, kicked off the weekend-long celebration at dinner at Tao on Friday night along with her sister Dabney Mercer and friends. Mortimer’s drink of choice was Lychee Martinis, and after dinner and Mortimer had called it a night, the remaining entourage danced upstairs in the nightclub to DJ Ruckus.
At Lavo in the adjoining Palazzo, E! News correspondent Jason Kennedy dined at the Italian restaurant with friends before heading upstairs to the boutique nightclub, where he enjoyed Grey Goose cocktails at a table on the dance floor. Steve Ward, host of VH1’s Tough Love, was at Lavo as part of a bachelor party. The relationship guru drank vodka and Red Bull cocktails and toasted the bachelor with a glass of Moet.
Catt Sadler, host of E!'s Daily 10, celebrated her birthday at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night. She kicked off the evening with Stephanie Pratt of The Hills and friends, including Adriana Gallarzo, Lisa Zimmitti, J.C. Dupri and Catalina Su dining at Johnny Smalls. Boxing legend Mike Tyson and two friends were spotted dining at Ago.
Dropkick Murphys rocked The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night, and contributing photographer Erik Kabik shot and reported from the scene.
Twilight actress Ashley Greene hosted an afternoon at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic on Saturday. She arrived, in her first visit to a Las Vegas ultra pool, in a cream-colored sundress cinched at the waist with a belt and made her way to a VIP bungalow, where she partied with more than a dozen girlfriends. After stripping down to a Hpnotiq-blue bikini, Greene chatted with fans, posed for photographs and danced to DJ Hollywood’s remix of Oasis’ hit “Wonderwall.”

Mortimer celebrated her birthday Saturday with Lavetta Fajardo of Kim Vo salon styling her blond locks. Then it was hosting duties at Tao Beach, in her first trip to Las Vegas, with boyfriend Brian Mazza, sister and friends in the grand cabana. Mortimer wore a black-and-white gingham bikini from Betsey Johnson and YSL stilettos and was presented with a sand pail cake from Gimme Some Sugar while DJ Tatiana Fontes provided the party music at the dayspot.
Mortimer’s celebration continued that night at Lavo, where her sister and she coincidentally wore emerald green mini dresses, hers a Diane Von Furstenberg with Versace heels and sis’ an Amanda Uprichard. The group enjoyed dinner before heading upstairs, where she was surprised by another GSS cake, this time a replica -- from the ruffles to her emblem -- of a handbag from her line. The group toasted to the birthday girl with Dom Perignon.
Jill Zarin of The Real Housewives of New York, dressed appropriately in a bubblegum pink dress from Nanette Lepore and YSL heels, autographed copies of her book Secrets of a Jewish Mother at Sugar Factory in Planet Hollywood on Saturday and was accompanied by husband Bobby Zarin and daughter Ally Zarin. Actress Alison Arngrim, Nellie Oleson on Little House on the Prairie, was in town to perform her one-woman show at Onyx Theater and signed copies of her tome Confessions of a Prairie Bitch at Borders in Town Square on Saturday.

Wynter Gordon at Surrender in the Encore.
“Dirty Talk” singer Wynter Gordon performed her hit at Blush in the Wynn on Saturday, as well as “I Feel Love” and “Toyfriend” before heading to Surrender in Encore. Zarin also partied at Surrender at a VIP table with Carla Pellegrino, executive chef of Rao’s in Caesars Palace.
Kid Sister at Tao Beach at The Venetian on Aug. 8 2010.
Rapper Kid Sister dined at Lavo and danced the night away sipping on Grey Goose cocktails Saturday. Hunter Parrish of Showtime’s Weeds partied with friends and enjoyed Belvedere cocktails and the antics of a nearby bachelorette party.
Over at Tao, Frank Vincent (Raging Bull, Goodfellas and Casino), Steve Schirripa from The Sopranos and members of the Las Vegas Mob Experience were spotted in the dining room.
Kid Sister hosted at Tao Beach for Beatport Beach Party Sunday, performed her hit “Pro Nails” and spent the afternoon sipping mimosas. Mortimer and Mazza wrapped their weekend by soaking in the rays at Tao Beach. Meantime, the weekend-long Star Trek convention attracted the likes of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart and George Takei among the more than 10,000 strong at the Las Vegas Hilton.

This week
The Expendables super-stud stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Randy Couture, among others, are in town Wednesday for the red carpet premiere of the actioner at Planet Hollywood, with co-star and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger rumored to be making an appearance, and Matchbox Twenty heartthrob frontman Rob Thomas is at Red Rock Resort in a benefit performance for Sidewalk Angels Foundation. All eyes, however, will be on Lady Gaga as she takes the stage Friday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
As always, a big thank you to contributing photographers Scott Harrison and Kabik and to Richard Corey for his YouTube videos. All stellar work!
