Lingerie Football League expansion team in Las Vegas to debut in fall

An expansion franchise of the Lingerie Football League will be launched in Las Vegas this fall. Vegas DeLuxe has learned that Sin City will join Houston, Columbus, Ohio, and New Orleans before the end of the year, making it a total of 14 teams in the dreamgirl league. Baltimore and Orlando were added this year to the current 10 major market teams.
I’m told that Lingerie League personnel and Las Vegas nightlife impresario Collier Minerich, who has been named the Las Vegas market manager of the LFL, will host tryouts this Sunday at I Love Indoor Soccer Arena at 1400 N. Rampart in Summerlin.
Gorgeous sports-minded glamour girls who want to play for the sexy league should arrive by 11 a.m. and be ready to be put through a series of tests by the LFL Football Combine, with drills to measure speed, strength, agility, tenacity and hand/eye coordination. A first look at the girl-on-girl gridiron action will be tomorrow with a casting call at Gold Lounge in MGM CityCenter’s Aria.
Los Angeles Temptation.
LFL play premiered in the fall as an extension of the annual and hugely popular Super Bowl halftime special Lingerie Bowl. The 7-on-7 full-contact tackle football game features some of America’s most beautiful and athletic women and has proved a favorite with celebrity hosts, NFL stars and major recording artists.
The 2011 Lingerie Bowl will be played in Las Vegas on Super Bowl Sunday. It will feature a series of Super Bowl four-day weekend events culminating in the Lingerie Bowl Game, and Vegas DeLuxe will reveal the host casino hotel and arena next week.
LFL reported an incredibly successful inaugural season with near-capacity crowds in a down economy that affected all professional sports. LFL garnered record Internet traffic, turned profitable with the expansion markets and placed second in primetime TV sports ratings.
Now comes Las Vegas -- and the ultimate expansion!
