Planet Hollywood truly lived up to its name last night when Tinseltown action stars flooded the red carpet for the premiere of director, writer and star Sylvester Stallone’s action-packed and testosterone-fueled The Expendables.

The casino floor areas near the escalators leading up to the mezzanine were teeming with fans, and joining Stallone on the red carpet at the Chi Theater, normally the home of Peepshow, were co-stars Jason Statham, UFC hero Randy Couture, Steve Austin (forever “Stone Cold”), Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Eric Roberts, Giselle Itie and Charisma Carpenter.

The film also stars Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis, who weren’t present, and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who garnered huge applause before rushing into the theater. Neither Willis nor Schwarzenegger are listed in the film’s credits, and Statham and the governor did not walk the entire red carpet.

Also hitting the jam-packed red carpet: Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters, Young MC, Tommy “Tiny” Lister (who some mistook for Michael Clarke Duncan!), Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl in coolly casual shoes, Recycled Percussion from America’s Got Talent, The Expendables composer Brian Tyler, Holly Madison, Cheaza, Angel Porrino and singer Nadeea.

Stallone, Couture, Austin and Carpenter spoke with Senior Editor John Katsilometes and other media in our designated area at the end of the red carpet, and Katsilometes posted the interviews in his The Kats Report. One highlight was Crews flexing his big guns through his white dress shirt. Impressive! Carpenter and Itie flaunted their sexy curves.

After the red carpet and inside the theater, Young MC introduced legendary producer Avi Lerner, who then introduced Stallone, who has been hilariously interrupting Lerner during his speech with voiceover comments. Stallone introduced his muscle-bound and cleavage-baring co-stars before the action film began an hour after the announced start time of 7:30 p.m.

Thanks to contributing photographers Erik Kabik, Tom Donoghue and Scott Harrison for their photographs from the red carpet and to Richard Corey for his videos of Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Roberts and others posted on YouTube.
