Strip Scribbles: Clive Davis joins Carlos Santana at HRH on Aug. 25

Legendary record mogul Clive Davis, known for his appearances on American Idol and launching the careers of numerous superstars, joins Hard Rock Hotel resident headliner Carlos Santana to host a VIP listening event Aug. 25 at Vanity in the Hard Rock to unveil Carlos’ new album. Afterward, singers who performed on the album will join Carlos for a one-night-only concert as part of the run of Supernatural Santana shows in The Joint.

The album Guitar Heaven features the greatest guitar classics of all time and will be in stores Sept 21. Guest artists include Chris Cornell, Pat Monahan, Chester Bennington, Ray Manzarek, Rob Thomas, Scott Weiland, Chris Daughtry, Indie.Arie, Gavin Rossdale, Nas, Joe Cocker and Yo-Yo Ma.

Seven-week-old tiger cubs Mohan and Majestic at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage.

*Two 7-week-old white-striped tiger cubs have just become the newest additions to Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage. Guests can now view the rare and adorable cubs in a special nursery created for them. The sibling brothers, Mohan and Majestic, were born June 22 and weighed 2 pounds each at birth. Their mother and father, part of Siegfried & Roy’s breeding program, are carriers of the rare recessive gene necessary to produce white offspring. The cubs were brought to the Secret Garden in an effort to support Siegfried & Roy’s quest of conservation and dedication to saving white tigers.

“Mohan and Majestic, our newest ‘Ambassadors of Conservation,’ play an important role in helping us achieve our goal to preserve and protect these rare and beautiful animals,” Roy said. “We can’t stress enough the importance of maintaining strong genetic lines, and these cubs add new, established genetic markers to our collaborative breeding efforts. We are pleased to share these magical creatures with the world.”

Singer-songwriter Mya watched Caesars Palace headliner Matt Goss’ show and joined him onstage for The Beatles “Let It Be.” Matt over the weekend announced that he’s taking his Las Vegas show to Royal Albert Hall in his former London hometown for one night Oct. 19. … Stephanie Pratt of The Hills and Josh Henderson from Desperate Housewives dined with friends at Dos Caminos in the Palazzo. Stephanie was so impressed with the restaurant that she made a reservation for the parent restaurant in New York City when she visits there next week.

Rapper Mickey Avalon relaxed at Palms Pool & Bungalows with six friends in a cabana before taking the stage. Also at the pool with a new female friend was Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil. … UFC President Dana White dined at N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms. Vince ended his evening at N9NE. … Rapper Fabolous dined at Nove Italiano in the Palms and was presented with a key to The Playboy Club by two Playboy Bunnies. He later performed at Rain and then partied with his entourage of 25. … Star parties at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel drew Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics; Antonio Esfandiari, who wound up in the DJ booth with Eric D-Lux; singer Jeremiah; former NFL linebacker Junior Seau; and actress Amanda Righetti of The Mentalist and a group of friends.

It was Saget’s second time at Social House since it reopened June 30.
