Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s Black & White Party returns to The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday night for the second consecutive year. The 24th annual fundraiser featuring food, cocktails and entertainment is co-hosted by AFAN and the Hard Rock Hotel with support from Baskow & Associates and Destinations by Design.

KLAS anchor/reporter Chris Saldana is this year’s host, and the entertainment lineup includes DJ Axis and celebrity impersonators, with appearances by longtime AFAN supporters Penn & Teller, the studly Men of X from Hooters Casino, the sexy X Burlesque from Flamingo and the seductive Crazy Horse Paris from MGM Grand.

This year’s food and beverage sponsors and vendors include Rare 120, Johnny Smalls, BOA Steakhouse, Match Restaurant, Sushi Roku, Todd English P.U.B., P.F. Chang’s, Outback Steakhouse, Jose Cuervo, Moet Champagne, Ketel One, Belvedere Vodka, Bacardi Rum and Ambhar Tequila.

Last year’s event was the first at The Joint, as it was moved indoors from Hard Rock Hotel pool due to the weather, and included Cher and Tina Turner impersonators, former Riviera headliner Charo, singer Pepper MaShay of “Dive in the Pool” fame and appearances by Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, Imperial Palace headliner Frank Marino and Flamingo magician comedian headliner Nathan Burton. The fundraiser raised more than $100,000 and was attended by 2,800 supporters.

Tickets to the 24th Annual Black & White Party are $35 per person ($40 at the door) and include complimentary cuisine and libations, with proceeds benefiting AFAN and the fight against HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. For more information, go to www.afanlv.org.
