It was a Friday night of rock music at the Hard Rock Hotel, as Meat Loaf brought his Hang Cool Tour to The Joint, while Australian rockers Wolfmother got the party started poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club.

Meat Loaf opened his show with The Rocky Horror Picture Show tune “Hot Patootie (Bless My Soul)” -- Rocky Horror fans remember that Meat Loaf starred as ex-delivery boy Eddie in the cult classic. The tour is in support of his album Hang Cool Teddy Bear, which dropped May 11.

Pearl Aday joined her father Marvin Lee Aday, aka Meat Loaf, onstage at The Joint, while she and her husband Scott Ian of Anthrax were spotted after the concert.

Meantime, Wolfmother, who won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2007 for “Woman,” rocked into the night at the pool, with J. Roddy Walston and The Business as the opening act. Wolfmother’s single “Joker & the Thief” was featured in The Hangover, Jackass Number Two, Shoot ’Em Up and Shrek the Third.

Wolfmother vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale is the sole founding member of the band, which started out as a trio when if formed in Sydney a decade ago and is now a four-member group.
