Strip Scribbles: David Hasselhoff among DWTS Season 11 cast?

It’s a near definite that former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff will be announced Monday as one of the Season 11 contestants on ABC’s megahit Dancing With the Stars. David, who starred for a year in Mel Brooks’ The Producers at the Paris, was here recently filming scenes for his new reality TV series.

Now we’ve learned that it’s all set to premiere this December after the tango and foxtrots, and I’ll even show up in the Knight Rider Festival episode we filmed downtown. We’ll use Twitter on Monday night to report the DWTS lineup, but expect to see other Las Vegas regular Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jennifer Grey, Bristol Palin, Michael Bolton, Brandy and Audrina Patridge onboard, and maybe even The Brady Bunch veteran Florence Henderson stepping in after Betty White nixed the alluring offer!

Incidentally, Audrina has been signed to rocker Rob Dyrdek’s show Las Vegas Street League debuting at The Thomas & Mack Arena on Sept. 25. We’ll have more details about his plans next week.

*On the eve of what would have been Michael Jackson’s 52nd birthday Sunday -- coincidentally, mine, too, except I’m way beyond that half-century mark! -- is news that his parents Joe and Katharine are divorcing after 60 years of marriage. They have been separated the past five years, but Katharine never wanted to make it official because of her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. Their feud blew open when Joe blamed her publicly for not spending more time rescuing their son and getting him off drugs. Events are planned in New York, Tokyo and his birthplace of Gary, Ind., to mark Michael’s birthday.

Meantime, the 17,000-square-foot mega mansion of seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms where Michael died is still up for sale at $29 million. The King of Pop was renting the L.A. home with its library, theater, wine cellar and 12 fireplaces for $100,000 a month before his death.

*Let’s hope they are well fed before show time! Illusionist Dirk Arthur debuts his animal magic show at O’Shea’s on Sept. 13 and promises audiences will experience the uncaged animals from as close as 10 feet away and no farther than 40 feet away. Dirk’s Wild Magic will rotate the animals daily, so it will be a constant surprise as to whether black panthers, white-striped tigers, spotted leopards or snow white tigers will be onstage.

The Moon 'N Doggie.

*Celebrity chef Rick Moonen of RM Seafood in Mandalay Bay will debut a gourmet shrimp dog, aptly named Moon ’N Doggie, at the 2010 U.S. Open Tennis Championships starting Monday in New York. It was inspired by Rick’s first appearance on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters last year when he created a shrimp-based corn dog during a Quickfire Challenge. The Moon ‘N Doggie is an all-natural shrimp hot dog with Asian slaw and toga chips served on a toasted, all-natural roll, and comes with a variety of optional toppings, including Chipotle Dude, Horseradish Hell and Honey Ginger Goo.
