Sexy pint-sized Lorena Peril has already packed a punch in the first 30 days of her new role as headline star and hostess of the topless adult revue Fantasy at the Luxor. Apart from a stint impersonating Christina Aguilera in American Superstars at the Stratosphere, it’s Lorena’s first full-blown starring role on The Strip.

It took five years to land the new gig, even though when she first arrived in Las Vegas, she auditioned for Fantasy producer Anita Mann.

“I’d just given up entertaining on the Carnival Cruise ships out of Florida,” Lorena told me. “Five years ago, I decided to give Vegas a shot, and my first audition was with Anita for Fantasy. She told me she didn’t have a full-time spot for me as the lead right then, but she said she wouldn’t forget me.

“Then when my 18-month run in Sin City Bad Girls ended unfortunately at the Hilton, lovely Angelica Bridges was wanting to lessen her time commitment to Fantasy, so it was fortuitous, and Anita remembered, so it all happened at the right time coincidentally being the best for everybody!”

Lorena, who also sang in the rock band Sunset Strip before starring at the Las Vegas Hilton, added: “I can’t believe it’s been 30 days already. I started Fantasy on Aug. 1, and Anita and the cast have been so good to me. We are all having a blast, and time flies when you’re having so much fun. I love the fact that I am now on The Strip for real, and we’re getting far more people and a lot younger crowd.

Fantasy is far more challenging for me, and I’m also enjoying all the events and keeping busy promoting the show. I’m much better performing by myself -- and even when I did Christina Aguilera, I couldn’t wait to get that wig off. I was dying! We’ve already made some changes to Fantasy to reflect my music and my culture.

“The opening number is really hot, a very sexy Latin number that really kicks up the high energy for the show. I do a very sexy ballad, ‘It’s a Man’s World,’ and even a belly dancing number with our comedian (Sean E. Cooper) in the show.”

As fast as Lorena joined the show, Anita immediately put plans for the new 2011 Fantasy calendar in place, and the shots were wrapped this past weekend. Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was invited to shoot the behind-the-scenes activity for Vegas DeLuxe while glamour lens man Bobby Black photographed Lorena and the cast.

Fantasy With Lorena Peril

“It’s a pleasure working with him,” Lorena said.” It’s a fantastic shoot, and it went really well. I was very comfortable about it. We got some really sexy shots.”

I just had to ask if Lorena plans to go topless. “I don’t go topless in the show,” she said, “but I will happily do it for a Playboy layout on Fantasy. To be honest, I was never really asked to do it for the show -- it’s quite sexy and hot enough. Besides, I move around a lot. I could wind up injuring somebody -- or myself. I may be only 110 pounds, but that vital statistic is 34D. We have to be careful!”

The new swimsuit-themed calendar shot at the Luxor pool will be available in late October, but you’ve got the first sneak preview now right here at Vegas DeLuxe.
