Vegas DeLuxe’s weekend wrap-up of the Las Vegas party scene has included Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush, Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and others the past few days.
This morning, we add Olympic gold medalist Amanda Beard, The Real Housewives of Orange County and the infamous Jamie Jungers to our, ahem, (lack of clothing) coverage.
Amanda Beard @Lagasse’s Stadium
Olympic gold medalist swimmer and model Amanda Beard hosted a Winter Olympics opening ceremony viewing party at star chef Emeril Lagasse’s Stadium on Friday. Amanda, a seven-time medalist at the Summer Olympics, wore a purple mini-dress and jewels furnished by Simon G.
Amanda posed for photos with fans and for the media, and after welcoming the Lagasse’s Stadium crowd, shared her favorite Olympic memories. She said she plans to compete in future Olympics. After the Q&A, Amanda was presented with an Opening Ceremonies cake decorated with frosted medals, topped with a torch made of icing and emblazoned with a photo of her.
“It’s hard to even put into words what the Opening Ceremonies mean to me. ... It’s magical,” she said as she watched the screens while waving an American flag. Amanda and husband Sacha Brown tucked into Emeril’s signature steak sandwich, buffalo wings, nachos and pizza and sipped on mojitos while watching the NBC telecast from Vancouver, B.C.
O.C. housewives @Laguna Champagne Bar
The Real Housewives of Orange County stars Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley, along with newbie couple Jim and Alexis Bellino and friends, decided that a Valentine’s runaway to Las Vegas was the perfect prescription for love and romance. After checking into luxury suites at the Palazzo, their first stop was at the new Laguna Champagne Bar for some bubbly before starting a fun-filled evening.
Gretchen wore a black mini-dress and pumps and, with Alexis, toasted with Moet champagne to her new single “Nothing Without You” being released shortly. Gretchen and boyfriend Slade kissed during the gathering but broke away long enough to pose for photos with fans. Afterwards, Jim joined the group for dinner at Tao in The Venetian and then a night of partying at the upstairs nightclub. Their weekend also included a stop at Kim Kardashian’s Queen of Hearts Ball at Lavo in the Palazzo on Saturday.
Jamie Jungers @Pure
There was no way that golf champion Tiger Woods was going to walk into Pure at Caesars Palace with lingerie model Jamie Jungers on his arm, but then again, who would expect one of his 18 alleged paramours in the continuing scandal to show up with Mom, either? Tiger has been MIA for more than 80 days with many unanswered questions about his dalliances in Las Vegas as a Phoenix twosome came to light this past weekend backing stories of a sex video and photos.
However, long-legged 26-year-old Jamie wasn’t uttering a word. Her vow of silence remained intact despite the fact that she early on revealed stunning candid and personal confessions in TV interviews about their sex romps here on the Strip and in California. In interviews with NBC’s Today and Dateline, the former Las Vegas stripper talked about “wild and crazy” sex with Tiger, including on the night Tiger’s father died, over two years.
Jamie stayed as far away from paparazzi as possible with her mother Sharon and remained in her suite for a room service dinner. She dazzled the Pure crowd on Friday with her blonde looks, and more than one observer mused how similar she looks to Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren. At one point, she turned herself upside down with her legs in the air so that everybody could see what Tiger flipped for! All in all, there were no boos or hisses, as she received a warm reception from the curious who crowded in to check her out.
