For the second consecutive year, a Long Island, New York, team has won the World Series of Beer Pong here at the Flamingo. Ron Hamilton and Michael “Pop” Popielarski beat some 500-plus two-person teams. We can only assume that they are now partying this morning with the $50,000 cash prize.

Ron and Pop are the only two-time winners of the top title in the tournament’s short five-year run. It was the duo’s fourth year of competing, and their win capped four days of preliminary playoffs of the unique sport.

Fans and players from all over the world converged on Las Vegas for the WSOBP. After successfully defending their championship, Ron and Pop pledged to return next New Year’s to compete for a third title in a row.

Our contributing photographer Erik Kabik covered the Beer Pong championships for our Vegas DeLuxe photo gallery.
