Strip Scribbles: Holly and Benji end dates; did Kelly wed after all?

It’s difficult to keep track of the ups and downs of love and romance with those Peepshow stars! It’s still not clear whether General Hospital actress Kelly Monaco, who premiered Peepshow at Planet Hollywood, wed after all in Las Vegas this week. Remember I told you that I had Sunday brunch at Simon in Palms Place with her and her longtime boyfriend.

Kelly told me that they’d flown in on a whim, and although they’d talked about getting married as another whim, they hadn’t. “Almost,” she laughed. But then she tantalized me that since they couldn’t get a return flight back to L.A., they might get married anyway since they were stranded an extra day. I didn’t hear whether they tied the knot! However, rumors buzzed yesterday from General Hospital studios in L.A. that Kelly had gone through with the nuptials. If I receive confirmation, you’ll read it right here.

Meantime, Hollywood also is abuzz that the dates between Holly Madison and Benji Madden aren’t going to blossom into a love match. The Good Charlotte guitarist is reportedly over flying and driving between his Hollywood home and the Strip. We told you about the rumors that the twosome was dating after Holly used Twitter to disguise flirting.

Holly’s on vacation from Peepshow and spending time in L.A., and the rumor mill there says the fling has ended. Holly resumes Peepshow in mid-February, with rehearsals before the March 1 debut of the re-imagined show.

*Mystery surrounds the last-minute decision by Motley Crue singer Vince Neil to cancel his Cayman Islands trip yesterday, which we reported Tuesday, to launch his Tres Rios Tequila. All I’ve learned is that the promotion was canceled “due to uncontrollable circumstances and last-minute scheduling conflicts.”

Reisha Roopchand, GM of Tres Rios Beverage Group, said: “Mr. Neil was very much looking forward to his visit to the Caymans to promote his tequila, Tres Rios. He was honored to have been invited by Tortuga Rum Co. to participate in the 2010 Cayman Cookout and be able to meet so many who are excited about the brand and his music. He would like to take this opportunity to apologize and thank everyone who put so much effort into arranging all the events with Tres Rios.”

Vince, who celebrated his fifth anniversary over the weekend at the Palms, is recording his new solo album Tattoos and Tequila and writing a book about his rock ’n’ roll life with Esquire writer Mike Sager.

*I got the recording location of the proposed teaming of The Killers and Tom Jones wrong. If the session we reported exclusively yesterday is pulled off next weekend, then it’ll be at Battle Born Studios and not the Palms. Our hometown heroes became majority owners last summer of the year-old studio previously known as Studio Vegas for 10 years. It’s where they produced their current album Day & Age. Apologies for getting the wrong location!

The red carpet starts at noon, and then at 1 p.m., I’ll kick off the tournament introducing the participating stars. Chartered jets have brought in players from Chicago, Denver and Missouri. The party is tonight in the former Cherry nightclub space, and the Final Nine should be about 4 p.m. tomorrow. The weeklong event kicks off Season 6 of the national tour. Celebrities confirmed include James Woods, Men Nguyen, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Tom Franklin, John Vorhaus and Tiffany Michelle.

*I’ve been bombarded with emails, tweets and IMs as to how to get free tickets for Jake Steinfeld’s show at MGM’s Hollywood Theater on Jan. 23. We reported his Strip debut in an exclusive on Tuesday. Visit the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office or text JAKE to 50435.
