Hard Rock Hotel’s Provocateur Suite is sexy and sizzling

There is no advance warning. You open the door to the suite, and right there in the entry hall, three totally nude beauties are showering in front of you. You look into the master bedroom and find three large connected beds to hold six people or more comfortably and discover a video wall plays behind the headboard with a squad of sensuous strippers in different erotic wardrobes.

That definitely spikes the senses and sends you reeling. The video vixens also move sensuously across the linens, so when you stretch out, the glamour girls play beside you, on top of you or underneath you depending on your preferences. It’s the ultimate in eroticism!

But the absolute KO punch comes when you walk into another passageway and find a birdcage large enough to lock up your partner and a giant wooden and metal X bar with handcuffs and chains to gag and bind if your fantasy takes you there.

I have to sit down. My breath is taken away. I reach for hoped-for smelling salts in the black leather tray of amenities, but what do I find in this suite of sizzling, sexual overtones? A black whip, a black paddle and a neatly tied long black rope perfect for restraining your partner on the foyer table with all its hooks if you are so inclined.

This is the Provocateur Penthouse Suite in the new HRH Tower of the Hard Rock Hotel, where instead of a newspaper, the reading material is a comic book version of The Story of O. The Marquis de Sade would be right at home here amidst black crocodile faux leather furniture and wall cladding. It’s certainly going to be the haunt of the next Helmut Newton. You half expect to see Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman step out in an Eyes Wide Shut outfit from the wardrobe en route to a masked sex ball!

There’s nothing else like this anywhere in the world. In 14 years of traveling around the globe several times for Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous and our companion vacations show Runaway, I’ve seen them all. But I’ve never seen one like this. It is a one-of-a-kind sanctuary of sex. In fact, the new HRH Tower has eight of these on the top floor with individual themes.

One was created by an MIT whiz kid, so you can live inside a 360-degree wraparound video circle playing whatever images you want. That would be perfect for Avatar in 3-D surrounding you. I’ll give you the ROYAL ROBIN RUNDOWN of each in a future posting and a chat with the executive who created these outrageously delightful concepts of opulent, exotic living while on vacation.

Each has an amazing outdoor patio balcony with giant marble Jacuzzi, and the sound system from your own iPod at the bar docking station plays out here, too. It’s an awesome experience to watch dawn break over the desert on a 42-degree morning while luxuriating in the hot steamy waters of the whirlpool. Those showering beauties I told you about at the beginning play on the video wall that separates the jacuzzi patio from the entry foyer.

From the patio, you can look down on the continuing construction of the new pool, Skybar lounge and the topless pool behind it. I’m told that Rehab will expand to two weekend days this season because of its popularity, but the new day will be a different experience from the Sunday shenanigans.

The new HRH Tower also features a new spa with the most incredible Roman Baths to be seen in Las Vegas. There’s no question that resort executives wanted to prove that the Hard Rock is back big time as the ultimate hedonistic playground.

It was only an overnight visit but will wind up being a lifetime experience. The Provocateur Suite will become the most requested room in Las Vegas for bachelor and bachelorette parties or for general bacchanal behavior. The beds alone could comfortably accommodate Bob, Carol, Ted, Alice and two of their neighbors, or the entire captivating, curvy cast of Crazy Girls from the nearby Riviera!

One final note: Although there’s a regular room service menu, if you plan on staying in, there’s also a special 24-hour room delivery Love Jones menu. That’s the rock ’n’ roll lingerie boutique downstairs, and the eager staff is happy to send up everything from racy ribbon blindfolds to a midnight craving love kit by Booty Parlor with lotions, potions and lubricants to a set of rabbit fur handcuffs -- and the piece de resistance: a pair of vibrating panties with a seven-function bullet that’s controlled by wireless remote up to 20 feet away.

Call it over-the-top scandalous, call it eroticism at its highest peak, call it too sexy and too sensuous and too much! Whatever you call it, you just know it could only be in Las Vegas. The Parisians had better hop over to check this one out because they’re going to lose claim to the title City of Love.
