Strip Scribbles: Is X Burlesque expanding to Atlantic City?
By Robin Leach

The Xotic and Xciting X Burlesque Girls are rumored to be spreading their scantily clad wings as they fly off to Atlantic City to perform for a Valentine's Day Heart Gala at The Foundation Room of the Showboat there on the Boardwalk. But I’m hearing that there’s bigger news afoot -- and it’s likely it will be announced while the curvy creatures are on the East Coast.
The girls of X Burlesque.
Put your money on the line and hit the jackpot with a bet that says our Las Vegas beauties will spin off with a second company of topless temptresses to bring their Sin City show to the New Jersey oceanfront gaming town. The X Girls play at the Flamingo here on the Strip and were signed to a contract by hotel hot shot Don Marrandino, who is now running Harrah’s casinos on the East Coast, including the Showboat. Elementary, my dear Watson!
Marie Osmond and Flamingo President Don Marrandino.
*Speaking of Don, he’ll return from his new East Coast and Atlantic City duties on Saturday to introduce Marie Osmond when she is honored at Nevada Ballet Theater’s annual Black and White fundraising gala. Tony Delgado’s dance team and the students of the ballet company will entertain at the event in the Champagne Ballroom of the Paris. Today, the ballet company unveils its new Spread the Dance campaign. A number of Strip stars -- and yours truly -- went on point to show their dance flair in TV spots and publicity photos. I’m not even going to begin to tell you how gruesome my twirls were mid-air!
Andre Agassi hosts a book signing for Open: An Autobiography at Costco on Nov. 22, 2009.
*The students of Andre Agassi’s Boys & Girls Club are in for a dizzying display of basketball talents today with Harlem Globetrotters star Dizzy Grant. He’ll show his signature ball-handling skills during a motivational presentation to the kids. Dizzy will speak about the Globetrotters’ CHEER for Character program. The acronym focuses on character traits Co-operation, Healthy mind and body, Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility. Meantime, Andre and two pals recently dined in the bar lounge of N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms on filet steak, asparagus and broccolini.
*Congratulations to Jeff Marks and Scott Frost, who celebrate the grand opening fiesta for their Hussong’s Cantina in Mandalay Place tonight. It’s a duplicate of the tequila taqueria in Ensenada in Baja California. VIPs melt with the margaritas from 6 to 10 p.m., and then it’s time for the public to continue the 100-year-old tradition of the original.
*The bargains with our Strip hotels keep on getting better in this silly season before Valentine’s Day gets us back to normalcy, so take advantage of four incredible low-priced offers while they exist:
1) Receive a free night at the Monte Carlo now through Feb. 11 by staying three nights. The rates start at $37 per night, and whichever is the lowest-priced night of the three at checkout is free.
2) There’s a similar deal over at MGM Grand, but the rates there start at $53 per night and continue through Feb. 15. Book three nights of discounted room rates, and the lowest priced night is on the house.
Vinny Blue (Tom Cassell) wins the title of resort spokesman at New York-New York on Nov. 23, 2009.
3) Book three nights starting at $69.99 a night at New York-New York, and the cheapest night is free.
4) The rates at Excalibur start at $33 a night, and if you stay for three nights, the least expensive night is free. This deal lasts until Feb. 23.
There’s never been a better -- or more economical -- time to visit our platinum playground. As Bob Barker would say, “Come on down! The price is right!”

If you go to the open bar at 8 p.m. at the Palms’ Island Bar, you can buy an admission ticket for skating for $5.

Tomorrow’s teases
We’ll have the first photo gallery of the 2010 Miss America Pageant contestants as they start their eight days of around-the-clock activities leading up to next weekend’s live telecast. Bodybuilder mogul Jake Steinfeld, who has spent 30 years keeping America fit, reveals some extraordinary secrets for his surprise one-man show at MGM on Saturday night, and Marie Osmond prepares to be honored as Woman of the Year by Nevada Ballet Theater.
