With the 2010 Miss America title and crown up for grabs, the 53 contestants in next weekend’s Miss America Pageant at the Theater for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood took time out of their jam-packed schedules to take a gondola ride in the Grand Canal at The Venetian yesterday.

The contestants floated through The Grand Canal Shoppes in gondolas as gondoliers serenaded them. After the ride, the ladies enjoyed a dessert reception on the bridge in St. Mark’s Square. Our contributing photographers Jacob Andrzejczak and Scott Harrison were at The Venetian to document the day.

The 2010 Miss America Pageant takes place Jan. 30 and is hosted again by Mario Lopez. We posted the schedule of events this week, and tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.
