After a long day of rehearsals and a runway walk at Fashion Show, the 53 Miss America Pageant contestants were welcomed by General Manager Ryan Smith for dinner and dessert at Buca di Beppo last night, and our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was at the Italian restaurant on Flamingo to photograph dinnertime.
The 2010 pageant contestants, along with Miss America Organization Chairman Sam Haskell III and President and CEO Art McMaster, dug into Buca di Beppo’s larger-than-life Brownie Sundae, a 48-ounce martini glass filled with 30 ounces of gelato, one square foot of Ghirardelli brownie, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, caramel and a cherry.
Miss Delaware Heather Lehman and Miss Pennsylvania Shannon Doyle celebrated their 21st and 25th birthdays, respectively, at Buca di Beppo. The 2010 Miss America Pageant, hosted by Mario Lopez, is next Saturday at the Theater for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood and will be aired on TLC.
