From my Twitter account:

I got scooped by sitting on a story to keep a promise! I’ve known for a week that singer and songwriter Matt Goss was jumping from the Palms to Caesars Palace. Matt opens March 12 in a reconfigured Cleopatra’s Barge lounge and theater. He will be a weekly headliner -- every Friday and Saturday.

The official announcement will be made at 11 a.m. tomorrow by Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner with Matt and his producer Robin Antin, who created the Pussycat Dolls. Caesars Palace and Robin asked me to wait until midnight today before reporting the story. However, the news was released at 3 p.m. today.

I am not happy when I keep my promise and others don’t, but at least it saves me from writing the Twitter report and story tonight. Our nightlife friend and colleague Xania Woodman reported the story this afternoon.

The most important thing, though, is Matt’s continuing success in Las Vegas. Congratulations to Matt, Robin and Caesars Palace!
