It could’ve become the ultimate showbiz merger in the department of romance! Superstar Leonardo DiCaprio and socialite Paris Hilton partied together over two consecutive days at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore and then at Wet Republic in MGM Grand. It would’ve fed tabloid headlines and the rumor mill for months, but the party princess and the silver screen heartthrob are friends, and no love match is in the cards.

Paris and sister Nicky Hilton were with friends at the owners table at Surrender when they were joined by Leonardo to listen to the sounds of DJ Steve Aoki at his weekly Aoki’s House. After an hour, Paris, Leo and the group moved to a second-story bungalow at Encore Beach Club, where amid shots of Patron, the Hilton sisters danced the night away.

During the Swedish House Mafia set at Wet Republic, Paris and Leo sprayed Cristal on each other and guests passing their VIP bungalow, and Paris pampered herself with a poolside Swedish massage.

Spotted at Vanity: Cleveland Cavaliers players Danny Green and Christian Eyenga and, after their poolside performance, Puddle of Mudd lead guitarist Paul Phillips and bass player Damien Starkey for a little after-concert celebration. They partied with a posse of PYTs until 1:30 a.m. Before leaving, Paul jokingly put MMA fighter Junie Browning from The Ultimate Fighter in a headlock and made him tap out. Q-Sinclair and Aaron Yoo also were there. … Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin was at HRH Beach Club Bar & Grill with his son and friends before the band’s poolside performance. … Slightly Stoopid stopped at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space with 20 friends and family for their after-party and the 51Fifty show.

TAO AND LAVO

Los Angeles Lakers star Derek Fisher celebrated his fifth NBA championship at Tao in The Venetian with wife Candace. The crowd went wild when Derek got on the mic and welcomed everyone. DJ Ross One played a Lakers mash-up of LMFAO’s “Shots” as a trophy-shaped cake from Gimme Some Sugar was presented to the point guard. Derek also hit Lavo in the Palazzo.

Superstar singer Carrie Underwood and a group of girlfriends took over a VIP table on the Lavo stage for a bachelorette party in celebration of her upcoming wedding to Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators. Carrie donned a bride-to-be sash, and the group wore feather boas from Lavo’s bachelorette goody bag and danced into the early morning.

Soap stars John Enos III and Michelle Stafford hosted a dinner and nightclub party. John, formerly Bobby Marsino on The Young and the Restless, arrived with cast members Michelle, Doug Davidson and Christian LeBlanc, along with Carolyn Hennessy from General Hospital and Cougar Town.

Bree Williamson, Trevor St. John and Melissa Archer of One Life to Live, Natalie Hall and Michael Easton of All My Children, Iron Man actress Leslie Bibb, Didi Snyder of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Reality Cares founder Todd Michael Krim and CHiPs icon Erik Estrada were all at the Italian eatery. .. Elton Brand of the Philadelphia 76ers was with a large group of friends and requested hip-hop from DJ Reach to go with their Patron and Moet champagne.

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica White celebrated her 26th birthday with dinner at Lavo and shared a few pieces of cake with a nearby table before heading up to the nightclub. Joined by fellow model Irina Shayk and friends, the beauty danced the night away. At 3 a.m. Paris and Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg stopped by to say hello and toast Jessica’s birthday with Cristal. Jessica continued her birthday fun at Tao Beach with Irina. They settled into the grand cabana overlooking the packed pool to enjoy a birthday cake from Gimme Some Sugar.

On the other side of the grand cabana, Olympic and Dancing With the Stars champion Apolo Anton Ohno and friends watched the crazed scene. General Hospital and former Peepshow star Kelly Monaco returned to Planet Hollywood with boyfriend Heath Freeman. Linda Gray of Dallas fame stopped by Heart Bar for a VIP meet-and-greet and posed with three of the bar servers. Anna Nicole Smith’s one-time love Larry Birkhead, father of their daughter AnnaLynne, was in Las Vegas for Julien’s Auctions. Comedian and film and TV actor Tommy Davidson partied with model Kelly Carrington, who was celebrating her birthday in The Playboy Club at the Palms. Kelly was selected Playboy’s October 2008 Playmate. … American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth was at Nove Italiano, with executive chef Geno Bernardo personally serving dessert to her table. She returned the favor by autographing his kitchen door. Shannon is here for the World Series of Poker as a poker player and Matt Donnelly’s new show Executive Monkeys at The Playboy Lounge. … At N9NE Steakhouse, actor Armand Assante showed off his Mambo Kings talents while dining with five friends.

CROWN NIGHTCLUB AT THE RIO
