Rocker and hometown hero Vince Neil’s first show since his arrest last weekend on drunken-driving charges was a howling success at the Palms Pool & Bungalows last night. Fans gave the Motley Crue singer a huge welcome, and Vince started out the set with “Live Wire” and “Dr. Feelgood.”

Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick jumped onstage four songs into the show to add to the excitement. Contributing photographer Erik Kabik was on duty at the Palms pool, and our thanks for these great shots.

Vince was backed by his own Vince Neil Band and sang cuts from his just-released CD Tattoos & Tequila, which includes his version of Elvis Presley’s “Viva Las Vegas.” Vince travels to Detroit today with his band for the four-day Stars and Stripes holiday weekend rock festival.
