Photos: As temperature sizzles, so does Planet Hollywood bikini contest

It’s Wednesday and thus time yet again to get over the midweek hump with another set of shots from the summer-long Planet Hollywood bikini contest at the casino resort’s Pleasure Pool. Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue has this event as a weekly assignment through Labor Day. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!

The contest ends on the last holiday weekend of summer with each week’s $500 winner returning for final voting, so there are another eight weeks until the big winner is crowned Sept. 5 and walks away with $5,000 and bragging rights.

With tongue firmly planted in cheek, Tom told us as he turned in this week’s scantily clad coverage: “You can see the hard work I face each weekend just by looking at the photos. It’s not easy keeping a sharp focus all the time.”
