Congratulations to 16-year-old Las Vegas resident Malia Civetz, who has been selected to sing the national anthem for President Obama during his visit here tomorrow. Malia was chosen after her performance of the national anthem and her rendition of “God Bless America” at last week’s New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium.

Malia, pictured here at the Suncoast Showroom, has sung at New York’s Apollo Theater and performed the national anthem at California games for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the San Francisco Giants and the Anaheim Ducks.

Critics and fans predict a big career for the talented teenager.
