Strip Scribbles: Blue Man Group auditions are Monday at The Venetian

Blue Man Group is holding an open call for performers to portray Blue Men in current and upcoming productions and multimedia projects from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Blue Man Group Theater in The Venetian. Applicants -- male and female (Blue Women!) -- must be 5’10” to 6’1 with an athletic build, have solid acting, drumming and performance skills and be willing to relocate.

The Blue Man Group cast includes classically trained actors, rock musicians, performance artists, musical comedy performers, dancers and stagehands, and there are productions in Chicago, New York, Boston, Orlando, Berlin, Tokyo and Las Vegas. For more information, go to BlueManCasting.com.

*European spywitnesses report that Joan Collins was at Voile Rouge in the Riviera yesterday and that hotel mogul Steve Wynn and girlfriend Andrea Hissom and others from his yacht also were there. The couple, who were cozy all night, was described as charming, and the festivities included champagne being poured over everyone in Steve’s party.

*Nu Sanctuary Lounge in Town Square is hosting Esquire’s 45 Under 45 nomination event July 22. The magazine will collect nominations for 2010’s list, and Las Vegas top executives, athletes, celebrities and VIPs have been invited to attend the celebration. A silent auction benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. The event is open to the public; RSVP at www.45Under45.com/RSVP.

*Paris headliner Barry Manilow will be performing April 5, May 5 and June 5 next year at London’s O2 Arena, the site of Michael Jackson’s scheduled This Is It Tour before his death last year. Barry was a longtime headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton before moving to the Strip in March.

*Our friend Branden Powers has opened I Love Yogurt at 11700 W. Charleston, Suite 120, in Summerlin 1 mile west of Red Rock Casino and 215. The froyo shop features 1980s video games, retro candy including Pop Rocks, Big League Chew and candy cigarettes and retro sodas including Tab, Jolt, Cactus Cooler and Crush, plus ’80s videos and music.

Cast members of FX’s The League shot scenes for the Season 2 premiere at Wet Republic at MGM Grand yesterday and were joined by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, reality TV star and Dancing With the Stars contestant Chad Ochocinco. The episode is scheduled to air this fall.

The wedding is open to the public and set for 8 p.m. at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon where Pete performs. … Rapper Flo Rida performs at the Palms Pool & Bungalows, and comedian Matt Braunger headlines at The Playboy Comedy Club through Sunday. … Singer Jeremih will likely croon “Birthday Sex” as he celebrates his birthday at Tao in The Venetian. … It’s Halestorm, Since October, New Medicine and Adelitas Way at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Hotel. … Masked magician Jeff McBride’s Wonderground show is at The Olive. … Four of Wolfgang Puck’s master chefs -- Matt Hurley, Melissa Zahnter and Lindsay Whipple of CUT in the Palazzo and Mark Sandoval of Postrio in The Venetian -- teach a masters class at Whole Foods in Summerlin. … Nu Sanctuary Lounge hosts Fusion for a Cause, three art-inspired runway fashion shows by local artist Oryan benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Tim Bombard Memorial Scholarship. … The inaugural Rockin’ Vegas for the Cure juvenile diabetes fundraiser is at B.B.
