Zowie Bowie, the dynamic duo of Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor, is resuming its mix of dance, hip-hop and Top 40 music at Red Rock Resort’s Rocks Lounge every Friday beginning Sept. 3. Zowie Bowie moved to Las Vegas in 2006 from Scottsdale, Ariz., to perform weekly at Red Rock Resort, and three years later, relocated to the Palms and then the Monte Carlo.
“It was amazing getting to perform on The Strip. However, we missed the fans that our shows at Red Rock brought in week after week,” Phillips said. “After hearing an overwhelming response from locals that they, too, missed us at Red Rock, we realized that is where we truly belong, and the move back just feels right.”
Zowie Bowie will perform Fridays at the 150-seat Rocks Lounge. Doors open at 10 p.m., and the show begins at 11 p.m. The show is open to adults 21 years and older, and admission is free, so seating is first come, first served.

“Smashburger has had a great reception in the Las Vegas community, and people are constantly asking when a location will open near them,” Smashburger founder Tom Ryan said. “We’re thrilled our franchise partners are meeting those requests through their commitment to expansion in the Las Vegas market.” Kim Gunderson, vice president of marketing for franchise partner SB Las Vegas LLC, said there are more locations to come.
