Crazy Girls: Pool parties are the place to be in the summer

From July 14 through Aug. 4, Robin Leach will be relaxing under the Tuscan sun on his annual vacation and keeping his eyes on what’s happening in Las Vegas from Italy. Meantime, a kindly crew of Las Vegas celebrities and VIPs has agreed to write guest columns for Vegas DeLuxe.

When it comes to summertime in Las Vegas, nobody says it better than hip-hop recording artist Nelly: It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes. Although it’s hot and sexy in Las Vegas year-round, there’s something about summertime here that just makes people go Crazy with heat. That’s why everyone likes to go see me at Crazy Girls at the Riviera. We’re the hottest topless revue in town, and we have seen some Crazy things heating up this summer.
As a topless dancer, I don’t have many inhibitions when it comes to showing off my stuff. I’m actually pretty darn proud of it -- I work out really hard to get these abs. But when I see gals coming into the show with no panties on, I know it’s summertime. You won’t see many gals wearing stockings or pantyhose in the summertime -- heck no -- it’s Vegas, baby! Take it all off! Sometimes I’m not sure if the panty-less look is for their date or for us Crazy Girls because from our perspective, it’s more like a come-on to us girls onstage.
Pretty hot, huh? What can be even hotter are some of the hottest summer parties to hit Las Vegas -- the pool parties. Can you say sexy bikinis? It’s difficult to tell who needs to hit the pool and get cooled off more -- the gals that are lotioned up and sizzling in the sun or the guys who are steaming in their pants (oh wait, I lost my train of thought, that’s at our Crazy Girls show). But seriously, with a margarita and some groovin’ jams spinning from the top DJs in the country -- all poolside -- that’s the place to be in the summertime here.
When I asked the Crazy Girls dancers which pool they like the best, I was given an array of answers. We like Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab, Palms’ Ditch Friday, The Venetian’s Tao Beach, MGM’s Grand’s Wet Republic and Encore Beach Club with Kaskade Sundays at the Encore (DJ Kaskade makes us all want to dance). When we’re looking to relax and get pampered, we like Bare Pool Lounge at The Mirage, Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay, Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria, The Pond at Green Valley Ranch and of course the Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace, Azure at the Palazzo and Daydream at The M Resort.
Mandalay Bay and Rio’s VooDoo Beach are where we like to rock it out and enjoy their summer concerts poolside. Good people-watching and even celebrity-spotting has occurred at Planet Hollywood’s Pleasure Pool. When my family comes to visit, I bring them to the Monte Carlo for the wave pool and lazy river (kids love it). I also love Summerlin Sundays at Red Rock. It’s $20 for all-you-can-drink mojitos -- yummy!

When it’s just too hot and you’ve got to get out of the sun, we like to get hot and bothered over at King Ink. Yep, you guessed it, the heat of the inking needle. A couple of the Girls and I have gotten tattoos by Mario Barth himself. He’s such a sweetie! He inks all the celebrities, and he’s hot, too! His new shop in The Mirage is awesome. It’s got this sexy little lounge area where you can kick back and enjoy a cocktail and check out all the beautiful tattoos on everybody. My tattoo was an extremely hot one. It’s placed in an area so hot … I’m not telling where, but let’s just say when I’m onstage, my thong just barely covers it. Yes, I guess being a Crazy Girl has its perks. Thanks, Mario.
One of the other great things about being a Crazy Girl is when I go out, sometimes people recognize me. I really like that. Some of the other Girls say they enjoy the best of both worlds. They can go out at night and be a celebrity, and during the day, they love that they can go grocery shopping anonymously. All they have to do is dress down a little (casual, with very little makeup), and they become unknown to the public.
When it comes to our daytime lives, most of the Girls are athletic. Dancing is our one true love, but we have sports and hobbies that keep us very active. Eliset is an avid motorcyclist. Valentina travels off to romantic islands when she gets the chance. I love horseback riding and surfing -- especially the surfers -- they’re so hot!

Not only are surfers hot, but they also are real gentlemen. Yes, I know, those two types of men typically are totally opposite, but if there was a way to blend the raw, free spirit of a surfer with the high-class etiquette and panache of a true gentleman, I believe we’d have my perfect man. For the other girls, I’m way off, I’m told! They all have their own idea of the perfect man. But what we do all agree on is how to approach us. Basically, how to date a showgirl: Is a difficult, yet simple, feat. When talking to us at a nightclub, it’s best to ease off the aggression. We’re dressed to the nines, and we know it. Lots of guys are hitting on us, and it gets a little old sometimes. A little more mystery and intrigue helps rather than in-your-face statements like, “You’re hot!”
When it comes to daily life -- in a park or at a store -- the rules change drastically. This is where a man’s confidence truly reigns. We all agree that if a man is too timid in a chance encounter environment, like at the same rack of T-shirts at Lucky, then all will be lost. This moment requires an assertive and dashing gentleman who knows how to woo with words. If you catch one of us in this instant, we can be whisked off our feet.
On the other hand, if we’re jogging and it’s obvious that we feel like a wet pooch after sweating through our workout, then you might be better off to make it quick and to the point. Give your number and dash. We are Crazy Girls, after all, and we consider ourselves fine athletes, dancers and showgirls. And after all, “Wouldn’t you just love to meet at a Starbucks … not in this Las Vegas heat … how about tonight?”
