Sixteen-year-old Justin Bieber, the Canadian heartthrob and singer of hits “Baby,” “One Less Lonely Girl” and “Somebody to Love,” performed to a sold-out audience last night at the Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood, and while some young fans’ dreams were realized, others’ were dashed at the box office in the casino resort.

Thanks to contributing photographer Erik Kabik, who shot the concert and reported: “I’ve included some photographs of atmosphere, signage from fans collected at the entrance, a few very disappointed fans who didn’t make it into the show and a sign in a store window near the theater entrance cashing in on Bieber and selling T-shirts.

“The high-pitched screaming of the girls was like nothing I have ever heard, maybe even louder than the Jonas Brothers concert I shot last year. Unreal! It's amazing how he has blown up since I photographed him at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip last October.”

Bieber, a protege of Usher, also performed in the most recent season of American Idol won by Lee DeWyze and the underway season of So You Think You Can Dance, both on Fox.
