From July 14 through Aug. 4, Robin Leach will be relaxing under the Tuscan sun on his annual vacation and keeping his eyes on what’s happening in Las Vegas from Italy. Meantime, a kindly crew of Las Vegas celebrities and VIPs has agreed to write guest columns for Vegas DeLuxe.
By Michael Boychuck, guest columnist
It’s been an incredible year since the last time my good friend Robin Leach took his annual trip to Italy, and more than ever, I’m grateful for the love and support of local Las Vegans. Our local clientele have made my salons Color at Caesars Palace, Amp at the Palms and Primp at Palms Place the top spots in Las Vegas, and celebrities follow!
My good friend Paris Hilton continues to be an amazing friend and client. Her inner beauty makes her outer beauty shine, and that makes her the best client imaginable. Paris is constantly in the public eye, so keeping her hair gorgeous, shiny and vibrant is key. Definitely a girl on the cutting-edge of style, Paris is always excited to try out the latest trends and hair care products.
A few of my other favorite celebrity clients include Paris’ mom and sister, Kathy and Nicky, respectively, as well as my favorite beauty queen Shanna Moakler. I will actually be a judge in the upcoming Miss California USA Pageant this fall along with Shanna. It’s such an honor to be involved with the Miss California organization, and I’m so thankful to Shanna for including me in the judging team.
I love that you never know who you’ll run into at my salons. This year alone, Robin has covered celebrities coming in for everything from color to a mani/pedi, from Paris Jackson and Katy Perry to Usher and DJ Pauly D from Jersey Shore. Locally, our friends and clients include news beauties Alicia Jacobs and Molly Sullivan and gorgeous headliners such as Marley Taylor of Zowie Bowie and Angelica Bridges of Fantasy.
The nation’s best stylists and products have acknowledged my salons and made Color, Amp and Primp the top spot for the best product launches, from the Las Vegas debut of my good friend Oribe’s line to being named Las Vegas Colorist of the Decade by Schwarzkopf, one of the top product lines in the world.
On a local scale, Las Vegas Weekly just named Amp Best Salon, and I found out recently the exciting news that In Style has named Amp the best place in Las Vegas to get your hair colored. Look for us in the October issue!
Because you’re only as good as the team that supports you, I’m proud to say that I have the best stylists in Las Vegas working for my salons. Visit anyone at Amp, Primp and Color, and you’ll probably find yourself in the chair of a stylist who has been working with me for years. When you see a woman with gorgeous long hair, there’s a good chance she got her extensions or stunning blonde locks from one of our specialists.

Finally, if you really want to keep up on the latest news from my salons, follow @MichaelBoychuck, @ColorSalonLV, @PrimpSalon and @AmpSalonLV on Twitter, and always read Robin Leach’s column right here at VegasDeLuxe.com. He’s always the first to report celebrity style and other exciting news about my salons.
Jabbawockeez and Sandy Hackett of Sandy Hackett’s The Rat Pack Show are tomorrow’s guest columnists.
