From July 14 through Aug. 4, Robin Leach will be relaxing under the Tuscan sun on his annual vacation and keeping his eyes on what’s happening in Las Vegas from Italy. Meantime, a kindly crew of Las Vegas celebrities and VIPs has agreed to write guest columns for Vegas DeLuxe.

OK, so here it goes … I haven’t always been the Peep Diva of Peepshow, the hottest show on the Las Vegas Strip (in case you’re wondering!). I moved from Lancaster, Calif., to Las Vegas in 2003 in hopes of becoming a known entertainer on The Strip. My goal for moving to Las Vegas was to use it as a platform, to experience the true grind of live entertainment.
After living in Las Vegas for three months, I booked a gig with a local band named Soul Desire, at the time the most popular lounge band in town. I sang with them for three years, eventually finding the gig to be exactly what I needed to tighten my craft. It gave me discipline, and it made me develop a strong work ethic. Singing six days a week, four sets a night, for three years gave me the experience I needed.
I decided to take a break from entertainment to map out my next move and started working for Nannies and Housekeepers USA, one of the biggest placement agencies in Vegas. Making this move gave me the well-deserved time off I needed.

Eight months into this position, I received a phone call to see if I’d be interested in performing with Wayne Brady at The Venetian. I had the pleasure of working with Wayne for an amazing two-year run. While performing with one of the most talented entertainers on The Strip, I was able to discover another talent of mine: improvisation. Wayne helped bring out my love for improv -- and the confidence I needed to feel comfortable in that element.
In March 2009, I received a call from Peepshow at Planet Hollywood to audition for one of their principle singer positions, which I held until February, when I was offered the co-starring roll alongside Holly Madison as the show’s new Peep Diva! Things finally started to make sense in accordance to my goals I set in 2003.
Being a part of Peepshow has been a dream come true. Not only has it proven my journey to Las Vegas was worth it, but it also has taught me to not doubt the fact that anything is possible.
Currently, I’m working on my own album, clothing line, feature calendar, TV series and book project, which I’m extremely excited about. To say the least, this is just the tip of the iceberg, baby!

Through it all, I’m very blessed to be where I’m at and thankful for every opportunity that has come my way. I’m a big believer that if you want something, don’t talk about it, be about it!
It’s made all the difference in my journey.
