Buzz is picking up that Bravo is moving forward with The Real Housewives of Las Vegas, and it will possibly feature a gay couple who own one of our local women’s fashion stores. I’ve been given the names of three prominent Las Vegas ladies and am reliably told that pilot episode scenes have been shot at a beach party.
The hit reality TV series has featured casts in Orange County, New York, Atlanta and New Jersey and spawned memorable contributions to society such as Kim Zolciak’s “Tardy for the Party” and Gretchen Rossi.
Carrot Top at Encore Beach Club and Surrender on May 28, 2010.
*Luxor headliner comic Carrot Top flew to New York this morning and appears on Live With Regis & Kelly on Thursday to unveil the winner of his prop contest. He told me before departing that he’s been overwhelmed with entries -- hundreds more than he ever expected. Some are from well-known sports figures, he said.
*Today’s the day 21 years ago that Cher’s hit “If I Could Turn Back Time” became a top song worldwide. To celebrate the anniversary, the superstar is turning back the clock on ticket prices, with a limited-time-only $50 ticket for her show at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace from June 15 through July 4 on the second mezzanine.
Marley Taylor, Vince Neil and Lia Neil unveil the Vince Neil Aviation fleet at Henderson Airport.
*Hometown rocker Vince Neil has included his version of Elvis Presley’s “Viva Las Vegas” on his new solo album Tattoos & Tequila dropping in Europe on Friday and here June 22. The album includes two new songs, “Tattoos and Tequila” and “Another Bad Day,” and classic cuts from rock giants including The Sex Pistols, Aerosmith, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Cheap Trick. Vince recorded the album with bassist Dana Strum and Jeff Blando, both of Slaughter, and drummer Zoltan Chaney.
*It’s official now that magic duo LaRaf (Larry Fisher and Rafael Palacios) will headline the new time-travel show Triumph opening at the Las Vegas Hilton this fall. Larry is penning a piece especially for Vegas DeLuxe this week to explain why it’s not just another magic show. The illusionists appear on Craig Ferguson’s Magic Week theme shows tomorrow night. We were the first to tell you about this new spectacular, and now I can reveal that all the dancers have been hired and contracted, with rehearsals to start in August. You can check out the teaser campaign for Triumph on YouTube:

The fourth episode will be posted on YouTube this week as we learn more about the fiery adventures combating the evil that lurks in the Andromeda galaxy. Also expect to see Las Vegas magicians Murray and Britney Spears favorite Ed Alonzo this week on Craig’s show. Murray also is expected to appear on the second night of America’s Got Talent and again on Last Comic Standing next Monday.
*Monte Carlo headliner Lance Burton and comedy-juggler sidekick Michael Goudeau played Cash Cab for broadcast this fall on The Discovery Channel. Lance gave his six-month notice for the closing of his show at Monte Carlo on Sept. 4 and admits that he’s making other plans for his show. He returns to the Monte Carlo from a stay-cation Monday.
Stormy.
*We told you about Stormy, the only Best in Show dog that didn’t find a home at The Orleans Arena event. Happy to report Kate Whitley emailed me to say that her days of foster care have ended, as Stormy has been officially adopted.
*No sooner did impressionist Greg London, voted Nevada’s Entertainer of the Year, leave Reno after a three-year run as Best Northern Nevada Show for Palace Station here than he was signed to the Riviera’s Mardi Gras Showroom. Previews for Icons begin June 16 with a July grand opening.
*Congratulations to Las Vegas model beauty Brittney Palmer, who formerly dated Flamingo magician Nathan Burton and danced in X Burlesque, as she’s just been voted by Maxim as one of the hottest World Extreme Cagefighting ring girls and accordingly will do a photo layout for the magazine.
*“Good Vibrations” head to The Venetian when The Beach Boys throw a one-night-only poolside concert June 17. The original boys of summer mark more than 45 years of making music. “We wanted to celebrate summer, and there’s no better way of doing it than with The Beach Boys in a poolside concert,” said Chris Yancey, executive director of entertainment.
*Star chef Thomas Keller of Bouchon in The Venetian is mighty proud of the new release of his 2006 Modicum Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The 100 percent Cab has been aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels, and Thomas says his dramatic vineyard yields fruit with remarkable ripeness. Only 60 cases have been produced to prove the modicum label of “a small amount of something unique.”
